Yacht Club, Beach Club, or Boardwalk?

Which would you choose? I would likely be booking Standard view, perhaps Garden view. I have never stayed at any of them. It would be three adult women: me, my mother, and my sister. My mother would have a scooter, if that matters. I know that Boardwalk has the oldest rooms. I don’t mind that they look “dated” as long as they don’t feel that way.

The Boardwalk Inn rooms are highly themed (early 1900's Atlantic City boardwalk) and charming, as is the resort itself. That's where I'd take my mother. The rooms might be "old" in terms of not recently renovated, but they aren't musty or anything. They're very pleasant & traditional Disney deluxe in feel: carpets, wallpaper, color, elaborate character designs in the wooden back of the desk chair, etc. They offer the prettiest garden views of those three resorts.

No problem using a scooter at any of those resorts. They're all accessible.

I love all of those and own at the Boardwalk, but for you, I think I'd pick the Beach Club. I think it will be easier to get around on a scooter.

Stayed at BWV for first time this week and loved it. Rooms didn’t feel dated. Had a boardwalk view. However beach club has the better pool but BWV pool was fun.

It depends on your group. When we went when our kids were younger, we loved BeachClub. As the kids got older, enjoyed Yacht Club. Both enjoyed Storm Along Bay. Now, with no kids, we love Boardwalk. We purchased DVC at BWV and have never regretted. Just love the Boardwalk area at night. And walking distance to 2 parks doesn't hurt. This holds true for all 3 resorts.

Honestly they are pretty similar. Theming is slightly different, but it’s not like you are comparing Poly and Contemporary.

That being said there are a few small differences that may push you more towards one or the other. First, BW doesn’t have any dining inside the building. In order to get breakfast, for example, you have to go outside to the Boardwalk. It’s not a huge deal, but if you have kids it could be annoying. Another thing to mention is that Yacht Club has been updated recently and has “wood” floors. I found that to be nice compared to BC (which was/is. currently undergoing renovations) and BW (which has been updated, but still has carpet). Also, another thing I noticed when staying at YC was that it was the first bus stop. I don’t know if BC and YC always share buses, but they did for one of our trips. Again, not a huge deal, but it was nice to get on an empty bus in the mornings and be dropped off first at the end of the night.

In the end, I would not hesitate to stay at any of them! If it were me I would get the best room type in my budget!

We have stayed at all three and loved each of them for different reasons. We had to choose for our August 2021 trip. We chose the Yacht Club. Why? Because BWI does not have readily available breakfast, BC has limited number of full balconies, and YC seems quieter than the other two. But, as the other posters stated, any one of them is a good choice. :sail:

One thing to add is that Yacht Club is the only resort of the three that allows people to bring their pet dogs. So if allergies or being disturbed by possible barking might be issues, that is one thing to keep in mind.

I've stayed at all 3 and my choice would be either BWI or YC. With that said, you really can't go wrong with any of them as all 3 of them are nice, it just depends which theme/decor appeals to you the most.

Ahhhh yes, our favorite resorts!!!

This is a hard decision to make, we love all 3 and have stayed many times!!

Scooter shouldn’t be an issue as all resorts are accessible.

I just call the theming this

BWI = Dumbo

YC = Nautical

BC = Summer Cottage Beachside

Literally our favorite resort area!!

Crescent Lake

I personally would choose Beach or Yacht for the pool alone. Boardwalk is run to visit, but being at BC or YC you can easily walk/take a boat over.

They are all lovely, but, just in terms of location with a scooter, I would do BC. You will be closest to EP and the Skyliner.

BWV decor is different from BWI decor. Same with BCV and BC.

I had this same dilemma when booking for my bday in Feb

I decide on a deluxe room at BC. We'll have 4 adults, and that gives us just a little bit of extra room.
