Yacht & Beach - NO Boats 2/14 - 3/10/11

The YC & BC boat dock will be closed for refurbishment 2/14 - 3/10/11.

Buses will run from those resorts to DHS.

Transportation to Epcot & other Epcot area resorts will be provided by guest's feet.

Will you still be able to take the boat from Epcot to DHS?

If you're at the Beach Club, maybe this could be an option if you like the boat better than the bus.

I can't remember how far the Swan/Dolphin dock is from the Yacht Club.

Just the YC/BC dock is being refurbished. I don't think boat service to other Epcot area resorts and between the parks will be affected (except for being a little bit quicker ). The other resorts were not mentioned in the advisory to cast members, which reinforces my belief.

For those who would like to walk to a nearby resort dock rather than take the bus, I calculated the walking distances from the YC/BC dock:

• Epcot dock: 0.30 mi.
• Swan/Dolphin dock: 0.36 mi.
• Boardwalk dock: 0.38 mi. (via Dolphin bridge)

These distances are from the foot of the YC/BC dock. So the Epcot dock should be closest for the BC & most of the YC. S/D might be closer to parts of YC. S/D, of course, would be the fastest trip to DHS (assuming the boats aren't full).
