I'm still trying to persuade my bf to have an xmas trip to disney otherwiseour APs will go to waste :goodvibes I was just wondering how busy the parks normally are from about the 2-6th of January?

Not sure about the 2nd and 3rd because that's still school holidays and you'll also have the aftermath of new year, but I'm expecting that the 4th onwards will be fairly quiet, as most people go back to school / work etc on the 5th.

I'd imagine that the parks will be very quiet as it is the cheepest time of the year as it classed as Super Value!

Also a lot of the DISers are going during that time as well so it's bound to be the best time to go :cool1:

Sam you can go and take my place - I'm still not going until 4th January 2010 - I'm not I'm not I'm not :sad2: :sad2: !!!!!

I think its busy for a couple of days after new year, but after that the rush dies off...... :goodvibes

thanks everyone! Now just need to flutter my eyelashes, use big bambi eyes and plead until ryan caves in hehe

We're there over nye and left on the 2nd- its didnt seem busy at all, but then again we had just experienced 31st and how busy that was.

an xmas trip is looking more and more unlikely coz dbf is worried its going to cost too much! does anyone know roughly how much room only with AP discount is for santa fe, cheyenne or SL just after new year?

4th January is the magic date. At the point, it switches to being the cheapest price bracket, plus you get 1 night free as well.

Oh, and you still get the christmas season extras until the 6th.

Not much good to me- 4th is Roberts birthday, and he likes his birthday at home in Barnsley....Shame really!

what about the 5th? Nice 2 night stay and just as cheap, just long enough to join the DIS meet on the 7th :rotfl: It should also be extremely quiet from the 5th, as that's the monday, so the park will probably be almost nobody but us DISers ;)

if i can get a cheap room only deal, hopefully with AP discount then maybe i can persuade him to go

i think someone said rooms with AP discount are only available 3 months before the trip (maybe im imaginging things lol) so I wouldn't be able to find discounted rooms til october :-S

Thats right Sam - thats my understanding.
But I'm sure Kevankiki got a CM to give her the AP room prices way ahead of 3 months for her Christmas trip. You could always give it a go?

It couldn't hurt to call and ask... :goodvibes
