They didn't do that the past two years we have gone in December! That's one thing I love about DCL there is always something new and better each cruise!

Yep, this is brand new...just started this year. I lovre the fact that there is always something new, too
I never thought that being on a tropical island could put me in the Christmas spirit, but this year on Castaway Cay I really felt that festive glow (and it wasn't just the sun)!

We were just on Castaway Cay on the Friday after Thanksgiving and in addition to the decorations DCL had a "snow" machine running. It was sort of a bubble machine, but it really did look like flurries coming down and "melting" on the pier.

I don't know if they will be doing it every visit.

Also all the castmembers were wearing red and white striped hats and scarfs.

We were told that the "snow" is weather permitting. It was extremely windy on our cruise, so we didn't have it. Considering the weather, I was very impressed that Captain John was able to get the ship docked! I was a little worried when I heard the thrusters struggling, but our streak of 35 dockings is intact.

I have always wanted to see Disney at Christmas both the Ship and the Parks. After looking at the pics of Castaway I decided we are going to do it next year.

I was on the Wonder sailing before you and actually watched them unload some of the decorations and start to put them up. The snowperson statues were wrapped in plastic, so I couldn't really see them very well, but I guessed that's what they were.
