Xmas magic first week of december?

Soo first off we were all set to go first week of September 2014.. However I am a birth doula and I signed a client due in September soooo now the next time we can go is nov 30-dec8th. Are there Xmas activities and decorations going on at that time? Like the Osborn lights and the resorts decorated?? I'm trying to get excited about this change in plans. I know we won't get pool time or splash mountain.. Bummer. Tips advise welcome!!

The Christmas season starts around the 1st wk in Nov, so yes all the decorations are up and the christmas party has started. This is my fave time to go. You never know you might get hit with a heat wave and be able to use the pool and splash mountain. The weather is pending, I went 1x and it was like 60 and then the following yr we got like high 70's so you never know.

Splash Mountain doesn't close due to weather. And all the Christmas activities and decorations will be in full force by the day after Thanksgiving.

My most favorite time to visit Disney is the first week of December. Everything is done for the holidays and the crowds are very low. You have every experience available including Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (if you buy the tickets for it). It is absolutely the best time to go to Disney. Have a wonderful trip and Merry Christmas!!

We went the 1st week of December in 2012 and it was AWESOME! Best time to go IMHO. The weather was perfect... mid 70s to maybe low 80s. We swam pretty much everyday... even at night. I know weather can really vary this time of year. We packed LOTS and were ready for everything. The Christmas stuff is in full swing at that time. We thought the crowd level was really low. Would love to choose that week again but we are coordinating with family so 1st week of June it is for us this year. I hate hot humid weather and crowds but oh well. Would MUCH prefer the 1st week of December. Have a great trip!!

Oh yay!!! Thank guys!! I've also discovered the new HP world over at US so we will stay 2 days there on the cheap and transfer over to shhhhhhh wilderness lodge club level!!! It's a surprise for my hubby. FX for a room only discount! If the poly kids club is up an running by then then it will be poly club level shhhh. He thinks we are staying POR. Which looks wonderful but since we have extra time now I'm going to save a bit extra. We will spoil ourselves our first trip.

Also the weather in December is a hit or miss depending on what you consider warm or cold you may enjoy the pool. Also Splash is open and usually quiet slow. We just use the $25 poncho's and enjoy the small line. Enjoy your trip

I went the first week of December this year and it was beautiful, mid 80's all week. Hopefully I'll be able to go this December also, finger crossed.

Slow to moderate crowds, beautiful decorations, not as hot and not as rainy makes the beginning of December a great time to go.
