This is great news! My son's account ran out a little over a week ago. He told me it was about to a while back. Best Buy had them on sale a couple weeks ago and I forgot to get one then. I will not pay full price when I know they go on sale often. My son will be so excited to get his account active again.

Thanks again! I'll check out slickdeals for the 12 month deal. I ended up buying a 3 month membership (online code) from amazon. It was $20. His friend wanted him to play online Saturday night, so we had to get something so they could play. I will have to check out the settings. I definitely want to restrict his activities to friends only. Anyone know how to do this? I'm clueless with electronics

I simply told my son that he could only play with friends or student friends of friends-no grownups. From time to time, I'd get on his headphones and listen to them talk and play a while. So far, years later, no infractions. He'll be 18 soon and we talked about that last night. He said none of his friends want to play with strangers even after they're "legal." He says they have no need.
