We are thinking about getting an XBOX 360 for the kids for Christmas, but I dont know anything about it! Help!

What do we need to buy? I know we need a console...but what about controllers? Types? How many? Other accessories, etc??

Also, what's the deal with the memory? 4GB? 250GB? Why do we need memory? How much memory do we need?

Also, what are some of the better games? This would be for:
Girls - age 12 & 14
Boy - age 10

Lastly -- Are the prices on say amazon pretty much the going rates? Or do you think there is a better place to get it -- or that there will be Black Friday deals??

Thanks for any feedback and suggestions!!

There are usually Black Friday bundles for the Xbox. I think I saw one at Best Buy or Walmart for the Xbox, Kinect, and a few games for $250.

Memory will be what you store your saved games on and/or download games on. You can download games directly to the Xbox (aside from purchasing disks). I'd just get the largest amount of memory, but it is something you can deal with later. You can use USB sticks (like the computer uses) for additional memory.

An Xbox will come with 1 controller. You'll probably want at least one more, but getting 1 for each child is always a good choice IMO.

Games will depend on what they're interested in. Boys I know around that age are playing the sports games and shooters like Black Ops and Halo.

Girls, I'm not sure..?? Really depends what they're interested in and what game types they like.

HTH!
