I will be in WDW next week and would like to make and send a small package containing Disney toiletries, a small toy or other souvie, a Disney snack and a postcard to a family with children that have been affected by Katrina.
I know similar things are done for children with cancer and other illnesses. Watching the news and seeing the how many children are affected kills me. They interviewed one family with 4 kids and one on the way that are now living in their minivan in a CVS parking lot. While I know a lot of people are homeless and have no access to mail, many other families that have been affected by Katrina can still be reached in some way. I would love to make at least one child smile a bit during this time.
I will respond to the first pm I receive. If finances allow, I will try to do more than one (money is tight, but there is always room for pixie dust!!!)
Please send me the name of child, favorite character, and an address where the package can be sent. I will be in WDW from Sept. 8 - 13 and will try to get the package out as soon as possible, even while I am there.
Anyone else care to join me? Let's make some children happy!
