We stayed here for just one night 7/11-7/12. We chose this resort for our last night in Orlando to just relax after a pretty hectic week at Gaylord Palms/Royal Pacific Resort. We mostly hung around the room during the day and did our laundry but this place did seem huge to me. When first driving in trying to find the check in area it just seemed to go on and on, I think they are still building too! There was one pool near the check in area, they were bbq'ing there when we arrived and when we checked in we were told the bbq was free. We never went so I don't know what they were offering, I am guessing hamburgers and hot dogs.
We did have one very slight problem, I had booked a 2 bedroom unit thru hotel kingdom. From what I had read, I assumed this was one king bedroom, another bedroom with two queens and a sofabed. I was a little surprised when we got to our room and it was two separate units. We were in building 18 (pool was right next to us). The way this was situated was you go in the front door and there is a small foyer with two doors on either side on a diagonal. The two rooms were basically the same except that one had the 50" tv, a larger kitchen area and the screened in porch. So there was a king size bedroom, sofabed in livingroom in one and (I think) a queen size bedroom with sofabed in the livingroom in the other. The smaller unit just had a very small patio outside the sliding doors, no chairs or screen. This could have been a problem if I had needed that room for smaller children as there was no connecting door, but it was for my 23 y/o son, his wife and two of my older children. It ended up working out well for us as we had the 2 washers/dryers.
We really liked our stay here and wished we had more time to enjoy it. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Another feature I liked was that we had a ground floor room and the outside screen had a door where my youngest daughter could go outside and run around in the grass.
Oh, I wanted to mention one more thing for those who are going to be staying here. We had a lot of trouble finding this place. I had asked here where it was located and was told across from Orlange Lake. It was not--I guess across from means different things to different people as it was on the other side of 192 but no, not directly across. You take 192 W to Old Wilson Road (coming from I-4) and make a left, it is a very short drive down on the right, or just look for the giant Elvis and make a left there. It was very conveniently located, I thought.
