Wyndham Great Smoky Mountains Lodge

I have been trying to do my research about the Lodge.

We are wanting to go there August 5-9. Is it too late to rent points from an owner for a stay there? Where is the best place to even look? I have been on the TUG boards but the marketplace doesn't show any listings for rent.

Any info or tips or must do's for the area? We have never been there could use any tips you might have.

I am a wyndham owner and just checked. Their is no availability for those dates, so you would have to find an owner that already has a reservation. You could post on TUG under rentals wanted for your dates.

My #1 tip is to explore the nature of the area like cades cove, etc. It's gorgeous. Eat a real country style breakfast at least once, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, fried apples and home fries. As far as attractions, there are so many. Narrow it down to your top three. Dollywood is great. The aquarium is fun. The Titanic museum is very interesting. I'm not in to the dinner shows or the obvious tourist stuff. Try staying in a cabin if you can. When in Rome and what not. Have a great vacation!
