Wyndham Cypress Palms

There is so much availability at Wyndham Cypress Palms for rci certificates. Has anybody stayed there and what did you think? Mostly 1 bedroom/full kitchen units. Do you think they are the lockoffs? Any info on the facility will be appreciated. TIA Grammy

The one bedroom we stayed in wasn't a lockoff. It had a full kitchen, a dining area and living room, bathroom, large bedroom and the washer and dryer were stacked in a closet area near the door. There was a small patio. It was a nice place for the money we paid. The buildings and grounds were immaculate.
Nice location also, lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes.

The 1BR w/full kitchen is the larger side of the 2BR lock-off, not the smaller side. The smaller side has a partial kitchen. The owners' directory lists the full-kitchen 1BR at 889 sq. ft.

Thanks for the info! We did decide to go with Cypress Palms. Now both of my certificates are used. We are going to do 1 week Cypress Palms and 1 week Orbit One. I wanted to try 2 different places this trip and just dh and I so 1 bedrooom will be fine. Cant beat the Skyauction Blowout price! I told DH I often read posts from both of you and feel you both give sound advice on the DIS so thanks for replying! Grammy

We'll be staying there again this November. It either or 3 or 4th stay, so you know it must be pretty good if we keep going back! We were just there in April and at the time they still had some rooms left to be refurbished (I don't remember the percentage, but more were completed than not). I'd call about a week ahead of time and ask for one of the renovated rooms. Let me know if you have any other questions about it, and have a great trip!

We are there in a 2 bedroom October 18...Skyauction too.

To get a refurb unit, ask to stay as close as possible to the recreation building. That should get you into building 3, 5, or 7. All of the units in these buildings have been refurbished and are very nice. The one bedroom FULL kitchen is very large (close to 900 sq. ft). Avoid the one bedroom, PARTIAL kitchen. Very tiny units with NO balcony/patio.

We stayed here in a two bedroom last year and liked it so much that we didn't hesitate when we had a chance to book another two bedroom this year. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we did!

We are owners at Bonnet Creek and deposited points we had left over into RCI and received a week at Cypress Palms last December. The 2 bdrm deluxe we stayed in had just been refurbished and we enjoyed our stay.

We also enjoyed the short walk across the parking lot to Cracker Barrel when we didn't feel like cooking.
