Wyndham/Cable Beach day - pool cold for March?

Hi,

I have read a few places that the pool at the Wyndham was too cold to even stand? We are going the first week in March and are thinking of spending the day at cable beach and hanging out at the pool? Has anyone had a bad experience with the pool? And does anyone have any details on the slide? Is there a height requirement?
