I just used my sky auction certificate to book the Cypress Palms in October. I hope I made the right decision. I was holding off for a while, but thought I should get it booked.

Any advice?

What is the area like?

I stayed there last November and would definitely go back. It's a nice resort. Within walking distance of some nice restaurants. It was quiet, roomy. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice. We took the shuttle one time to the parks because it was during food and wine festival and we didn't want to drive. It was convenient but had limited times. It worked for us but if you want to stay late, it might not work for everyone.
No pressure to do timeshare tour.

the area is easy to get to off 192 but there is no "security gate" to enter

there is a super walmart just up the road at 535 highway/polynesian isles boulevard which is easy to get to also

we have stayed there twice and enjoyed the stays....you might want to call prior to your arrival to make sure they have all the details....we were supposed to be in a two bedroom...when we called they said we were assigned by RCI to a one bedroom ( not even the deluxe if i recall correctly )

we had to jump hoops to get RCI to fax Cypress Point with the "certificate" information, but everything was OK when we got there ( it was not RCI but wyndham that had tried to "shortchange" us )

if you got a one bedroom, they have two different sizes.

one is smaller

the one you would want would have "deluxe" attached to it

you might want to read trip advisor and DO not forget to call prior to confirm everything is as it should be......and it does not hurt to ask for a "refurbished" unit, although they all maybe re done now ( they were working on various buildings when we stayed last decmeber )

We've really enjoyed our stays here. The resort's rooms were fully refurbished this year. Pools are nicely heated in winter. Very responsive and friendly, helpful staff. Easy walk to restaurants. Pretty short drive to the Disney parks.

This is not, by far, one of the more luxurious resorts and it doesn't offer a lot of the whistles and bells of the more upscale timeshares (no waterfall pools, no floating river, no golf or watersports, etc.) in the area. But we like it a lot. :goodvibes It's our fallback resort, the one we gladly take if our first choice places (DVC, Bonnet Creek, HGVC, Sheraton Vistana Villages, certain Marriotts) are not available for our travel dates. I have no problem recommending it to friends, relatives, others.
