I bought a pearl cage off of bay, the seller sent me someone else's shipment. The seller wants me to mail the item to the correct person and reimburse me for the postage, the only thing is I don't really trust this as I have been burned before, should I buy the postage then not mail it until I get reimbursed?

I'd walk through the steps of the shipment until you get to where it tells you how much the postage will be. I'd tell the seller the amount and let them know you'll purchase the shipping once you have received the funds to do so.

I'm trying to think of some way for the seller to purchase the postage, and then you use it, but I can't think of a way??

I would send it back to the seller and have them send it to the correct person. That way you are covered under ebays buyer protections.

Exactly. It's not your problem to solve for them.

I would also return it to the seller. I would not want to get into the middle of a transaction between 2 other people. What happens if the real buyer says they didn't receive the package? or it was damaged?

I just wouldn't take the chance.

I would return it to the seller...yes it costs more for them, but what if this other person he wants to ship it to claims you didn't send it...big mess! Send it to the seller!

1) Seller arranges pre-paid UPS pickup AT YOUR HOME. Why should you have to deal with going out to the Post Office?

2) Selelr can either have it shipped to the correct buyer or back to him/herself.

3) Delete facebook, lawyer up, hit the gym.

:lmao: good advice is most dis situations lol

The problem with this whole issue is that no matter what you do, you are going to have problems with Ebay's Buyer Protection Policy. Your best bet is to either get your refund from the seller or have her ship you a new one, before you do anything with the one you got. Otherwise you may never see your money or the new one because the seller has delivery confirmation that says she sent you a package.
