We've got 2 reservations and would like to cancel one soon. Our trip is in early Oct and for 7 days. We've stayed at standard rooms in both DLH and GCH and once had a park view concierge room at PPH. We currently have reservations for a standard room at GCH and a pool view room with concierge at DLH. They both are the same price (AP4 rate) so one isn't cheaper than the other unless you take into account the snacks available with a concierge room. So our 3 choices are GCH standard room for 7 nights, DLH pool view concierge for 7 nights, or a split stay 3 nights/4 nights GCH/DLH. What would you do?

This is a hard one. Depending on how many people are in your party, I would say you would get more value out of concierge at DLH. We are staying the first time at GC in Sept. and have stayed at DLH. The drinks and snacks will be a good value for a family.......since drinks are pretty expensive in the parks. Plus, having a great view would be nice too.

Not to hyjack your thread, but did you like PP concerige? I have ressies for that in Dec. and also at HOJO. Can't decide between cheap at HOJO where we have stayed before and liked, or at PP and be pampered. We have stayed at DLH before and loved it......

We're a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (6 &9). We definitely took advantage of concierge snacks when we stayed at PPH. It definitely cut down our food budget and we thought the staff and hotel was great. It was a great bonus when they bumped us to a park view room and had a beautiful view of DCA. It was our son's bday trip so he felt so special when he could wake and go to bed seeing his 2 favorite rides (TOT & California Screamin').

Abby, I'd splurge and stay at PPH. Even though we went in the off season and park hours were shortened, we made a point to take a pool break in the afternoon. It was a bit chilly climbing up the stairs to the pool slide, but all 4 us had a great time at the slide, pool & hot tub. They even pipe in the music for the fireworks at the pool. Our stay at PPH was dh's favorite stay onsite with GCH a very close second.

My sister and her family will be joining us on this trip and my niece and daughter love having sleepovers. They'll be staying at GCH. It'd be more convenient to be at the same hotel although it would also be nice to have access to both GCH and DLH's pool. My niece has never been to the Neverland Pool and I'm sure she would love it. I'm still not sure what we should do. Dh is tired of me asking him what he thinks. He'd be happy with either and would just like to know which reservation he should cancel.

If you had never experienced the Grand before, I would say stay there, but since you have, I would go for DLH. To me the view rooms are so worth it - it just makes the stay so special. And the breakfast, snack and beverages you get free will not only be a huge convenience, but save a lot of $$$. Good luck deciding and have a wonderful trip:goodvibes

Well. I would probably do the DLH with pool view and concierge.
Enjoy your stay (wherever you decide to stay!)!

I second the DLH. We are staying there with a DTD view and concierge in a few weeks and I can't wait :)
