I did a search on the internet for an old tv show
for DH for christmas
I found a place that had it

the site looked and sounded good so I order it last Sat12-2

it was supposed to be shipped within 3- 4 days and there was to be a email when it shipped

so far I have nothing!!!

I did a contact us deal and also called a few times the message is very strange

all it is is a recording no mention of any type of name just if you know your partys extension or stay on the line to leave a message which I have the last message I left was if I dont get any type of reply by tuesday Im disputing the amount with the CC to get my money back

is this my only option

please any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

I order it from a tv shows on dvd website I ordered it last fri 12-3-

Im not a big shopper on the internet--just for this very reason--I ordered 3 things last Fri one came 2 days ago the other is on its way today

this is the only one Im having major issues with--I guess Mon Ill call the bank to dispute the charges

If I order older movies, I shop at Turner Classic Movies. But I would call and dispute it with the bank if you don't hear soon.
 
I get older movies from them too. This was an old tv show. The wonder years. Yea I think I'll have to dispute it. I hate this. And an even bigger kick is I just from it at Barnes and noble so I already have it in my hot little hand. Are banks good about issues like this. When you order something and don't get it and you don't get any repsonses
 
Chargebacks, which is what you are proposing doing can be a minefield. A lot of it depends on who issued your card.

READ through the website below for an overview. Yes, it seems long and boring, but it behooves you to know what you are getting yourself into BEFORE you start the process.

I have three chargebacks over some 35 years of credit card use. The worst was when I was dealing with BankAmerica, which would do absolutely nothing but send me form letters, block all reasonable efforts to move the process forward etc. I finally got BA to reverse the charge, but it was a several month long and hellish process, which was why after it was over and done, I cut all banking ties with BA.

Best has been Chase, which immediately took my side and did an immediate chargeback, even though the issue was still in dispute.

Yes, you can call the card issuer, but to protect your rights under federal law, you need to write a letter to the issuer. The web site I linked to earlier has the details.

Good luck, hopefully you will not need it!!

PS: Sometimes, all it takes is you to contact a merchant and threaten that you will contact your card issuer for a chargeback if you don't get satisfaction by the end of a certain timeframe.

Merchants HATE chargebacks -- they get socked with extra fees.

12/2 isnt too far away. its possible they are out of stock and waiting for new stock to show up. Without knowing the website, its hard to tell... Also, its possible the item is coming from China. those shipments take at least month...

heck, im still waiting for a package i ordered 11/14. Some odd reason, they claim USPS wont take the package, and i have to wait another 15 days(after waiting 15 days)... i would think that this isnt the first time they shipped it out.
 
Yes if it is coming from China it has to clear customs first which can take along time
 
interesting new twist--even though I sent them 2 statements though the contact us and never got a reply I thought Id try again

I just got an email for an auto credit--it hasnt cleared the bank yet

now if they replied to this one why didnt tell me what was going on with my order--they could have said the order has been delayed for whatever reason still I did say I was going to dispute the charges and go to the BBB but I told them the last time I wrote

and if its a auto credit who actually read the request oh well

hopefully this is the end of it this is why I like going to the store to get what I want

I did a reserve with barnes and noble walked in walked out and saved 5$ besides--the dvd was cheaper too then from the website

so thanks all for the helpful advice--glad this is coming to an end

another thing that I though was so weird when I called the phone message--it didnt even say the name of a company--very weird
 
Just a final update after another threating email I finally got my credit back to my card. It's funny how I asked several times about my order no answer yet when I wrote for the refund I got a auto response for a credit. Then when I wrote again asking for the refund all of a sudden I finally got the refund. It's really strange how I never got replies all of a sudden things showed up oh well glad it's done. I guess I'll have to research places more before I order anything g. Thanks again for all the advice.

Can you share the name of the site? There's one site that has old TV shows that i've been thinking of ordering from, and I hope it isn't the same one.....

when I was looking for the dvd I did a search for the wonder years and a few places came up one being ennetdtv dot com

but when you click on that the page it sends you too is tv shows on dvd which there is another website with that name

so I hope this helps and that website isnt the one you were looking it--if so from my experience dont use it

You do not have to dispute it with your credit company that quickly. Actually you should try to contact the seller first.You have a minimum of a little less than two months (60 days from when the credit card bill showing that charge has been printed) before the deadline for filing a dispute passes.
 
I kinda did the same thing. Ordered an NBA jersey my son wanted. It's a retro thing so I had to search. I ordered it from a site I found and the confirmation email I got has very broken English. Yikes. I'm watching my card carefully and waiting to see what if anything I end up getting. There was an international fee on my card. I'm really mad at myself for being so careless but if it just means I'm out $50 I'll take it as a lesson learned. I looked at the site again and they don't even have a phone number listed. The only contact option is email.
 
I had the same situation. Tried to order my son a soccer jersey from the France National Shop. It turns out that this was not a reliable internet site and was located in China. I found out because my bank would not process the payment. I think I dodged a bullet!
 
glad to hear your bank didnt let the payment go through--where I ordered from at least was in english it was the phone message that was strange

no mention of any name just if you know the extension enter it now or leave a message--it was in the computer voice

any thoughts on this--what I thought was strange too was the website was ennetdtv dot com when you hit enter it goes to a site tv shows on dvd

but theres another site with that name

who do you trust--its funny too cause they never answered me yet when I said I was to the BBB all of a sudden I got what I asked for
oh well lesson learned
