WWYD? Dis Yacht Club or DCL Dream

So I was waiting for Disney World to announce their free dining promo and it has been released today.
But now I have a dilemma when I looked at pricing. I can get a DCL 3 night Dream Balcony state room for LESS than a 3 night Yacht Club with dining and 4 day park with Park Hopper. About $200 less....

So I have a conundrum...Castaway Cay or Park and Deluxe Hotel.....

This is for Labor Day weekend this year.....(I already booked my DCL cruise for next Labor Day wknd..not sure if I should change it up this year or not)

Questions I would be asking myself:
Is Labor day busy at wdw ( is it a good time to go?)? When is the last time you went to wdw verses dcl? When might you go again? Do the kids have a preference (they tend to be the deciding vote when we cannot decide in our house).

Well Yacht club is already sold out for this promo as I went on lunch break and came back.....but they do have other resorts still available.....and I still can't decide. I want it to be a surprise, my DD would be happy with either.

Beach Club sounds just as good since Yacht and Beach Club share the same amenities... (I stayed at YC before, loved it... but I am crazy about the BC lobby and the rooms look amazing!)

What does you DD like the most, a great pool or the beach?

I would almost always choose Disney World over a Disney cruise - especially one that goes only to Nassau and Castaway Cay.

She much prefers the pool to the beach....I'm leaning towards WDW as I really want to hit epcot too....BC is available but much more $$ than YC for some reason. I'm now debating the WL, or Port Orleans. IF I'm going to shell out more money, they it would be Poly, as it's the same rate at BC

Wilderness lodge is awesome. Has a boat to magic kngdom- very quick. I would do wdw too. Didn't want to state a preference myself originally, but I'm not a huge fan of the 3 night cruises, and you can do SO much at wdw in the same amount of time.

Thanks everyone...I think I'll make it a WDW land trip...Now I am going to crunch the numbers (FL res. discount vs Free Dining) and see which works out better. FREE dining while nice, means full price on rooms and tickets...(I never pay Full Price on tickets or room) so need to see if it's truly a deal..for me.

Great choice. I'm not a fan of 3 day cruises. Also there is never a guarantee about Castaway Cay weather!

There is a travel agency that has the beach club for about 200 a night that week. A lot of people use them on these boards. Were not suppssed to post the name, but you can pm if you want. I have used them before.

Polynesian Resort is amazing. I stayed there twice and would go back in a heartbeat!

But I am also a fan of Port Orleans (both).
