so I am heading down next week for a 5 night stay with my son. I have 3 different reservation numbers. BWV,BLT and VWL (I just booked this last week) We arrive at WDW around 4:00pm. I was going to do the dining plan for the first(1 night) reservation and the second (3 nights), and not the third.

Figured, we would only be using dinner the evening we arive, but can still use the remaining alotments the nxt day till midnight right? then I have the three night alotments, if I understand it correctly, they expire on midnight of the last night? then on day of departure, we would just be there for breakfast anyway, so no big deal? Does that work right?

Yes, that works out right. Just be forewarned that many of the Table Service restaurants are fully booked because of the free dining offer. If you aren't too picky about where you'll eat then you should be fine. Have fun!

you would be suprised what you can get, we just booked a bunch of pretty good ressies for next week!

Yeah, I did pretty well, got the Bistro de Paris or whatever for the night of arrival, got the luau, first section seating, diamond horseshoe, all things we have never done!! And the Brown Derby, not bad for last minute reservations, all at decent dinner times! What I really want was the Mickey's BBQ, but no such luck!!

Bistro de Paris is not on the dining plan- Chefs de France is

Luau and Brown Derby both take 2 dining credits instead of 1.

hmm, figures, sounds like I may not bother with the plan then, guess I havea to do some further research!

We just did a split stay (same resorts as you too!!) and were on the dining plans for each reservation.

However, I only wanted 2 nights of TS so I did the QSDP for the first two nights at BWV, then did the regular DDP for the 2 nights at BLT, and then went back on the QSDP for my last 3 nights at VWL.

It worked out fine. I brought a sharpie with me and just labeled my card with the resort so I was sure on that check out/in day that I used the old card's credits first before I started with the new ones. And, the CM's were really good when we ordered. We just did things as separate if we needed.

Have a great trip!

not 100% on this so check stickie at top of Disney Dining Plan board to read through all details : Deluxe DDP give you 3 TS per day (you can use the credits for CS if you wish), 2 snacks per day & refillable mug. If you are planning to do 2 TS credit meals like Spirit of Aloha etc. it may save you $ to purchase Deluxe DDP - according to the stickie with dining plan gratuity is covered for dinner shows too so you'd need to factor that in too when figuring out if it saves your $ to purchase Deluxe DDP over paying oop. iirc it is $71.99 per day for adults and $20.99 for kids

:goodvibes
