WWYD: Beach Club Deluxe room (sleeps 6) vs 2 bedroom OKW for 6 people?

Maybe not exactly as fancy as OKW but have you considered the trailer homes at Fort Wilderness? You would have beds in 2 separate areas (bedroom and front room) the cabins are pretty large and you aren't on top of your neighbor plus there is so much do to at the Fort. I would add a golf cart to your reservation to make it easy to get around and since the first 2 days have no park plans there is plenty to do. Pool / pony rides / the horse barn / hay rides / electric water parade at night / chip and dale campfire. Since you are going around halloween you could always take the golf cart and look at the halloween decorations that people put up in the camping loops.

Love this! Sounds amazing!

Would anyone do 2 nights at a different mod or deluxe (connecting rooms) instead of an OKW 2 bedroom villa?

Budget is around $1k/night max for the 6 of us.

I don't like to feel secluded or be in a remote location when on a WDW vacation (and neither do my kids) so I would opt for a different mod or deluxe and make connecting rooms my only request.

I was just peaking at the Disney site and AKL had some openings for under $500 a night. AoA family suite could also be an option. AoA has great pool options for small kids. My kids loved CBR pool and splash pad when they were younger. That could also be an option.
