Hi All!
Headed down with 2 sons (17, 15) for 9 nights and somehow I'm having a hard time deciding!

Jan 14-23 - OKW Preferred
or
Feb 17-26 - first two nights at Pop, last 7 AKL-Kidani - Savannah View

We've stayed at both resorts previously, and each have pro's and con's....We enjoy they skyliner, and the boat to DS, but ANIMALS :D LOL!

In addition, both weekends are "holiday" weekends, so might be a touch busier. We will be flying and using resort transportation only.

We will be visiting all 4 parks + PH and Genie+. Never been during Epcot Festival of Arts, but we generally love all the other Epcot festivals, so that gives February a slight edge, too.. But then again, January is a whole month closer... :D

Hit me with which option you would choose, and why?

Note: this will be the boys' only trip in 2022, but I will be back at least 2 more times (1 solo, 1 with my "big" kids (24, 22)).

Going by dates, I'd go in February. Both are long weekends, but the February week is an actual school vacation week for a good chunk of the country. If I took that out of the equation I'd probably go festival both because of the resort choice and the festival at Epcot.

Both are holidays, so I’m out. For the hotels, AKL and Pop are far superior. But that doesn’t matter so much if you’re a park warrior.

Are you a dvc member looking to use points for the resort stays? If so, hope you already have them booked - studios are hard to come by these days.

I would always pick kidani over OKW.

Not a fan of OKW , spread out with cars everywhere , minimal amenities esp food options .- Kidani for sure

I love AKL but I hate split stays, so I'm torn.

Kidani's pool refurbishment breaks the tie, so OKW. Even if you don't plan to swim, pool refurbishments are ugly and I'd avoid them at all cost.

Not a fan of OKW , spread out with cars everywhere.
Counter-point... the "cars everywhere" means that if you have a car yourself, you get insanely convenient parking. Probably the most convenient resort parking outside of Fort Wilderness and the treehouses.
