WWOHP with a 5yo?

I just have a couple of questions...first is WWOHP appropriate for a 5yo? And if so is the new ride too scary for him? TIA

Height limit is 48 inches. So he has to meet that. It is a pretty scary ride for a youngster. Large spiders that spit, fire breathing dragons, dementors that jump out at you...
