okay okay okay... so we will be going to IOA on july 6th.
mainly to focus on WWoHP, not so much on the other things...
but my question is, what time should we arrive before the park opens?
i know it just opened, but does anyone know how long the wait is to get in?
and i don't really understand the concept of it being a park, within a park..
can someone fill me in on if about if i have to wait to get into IOA, and then wait again for WWoHP. any info about anything would be great.
even if you haven't been there your opinions would also help.
thanks!

p.s. i'm new here! :)

no help at all? hmm... it seems like a lot of people on this board have been there. i just want suggestions and opinions.

Hi,

The concept of a 'park within a park' is not a new one. If you take Disney's Magic Kingdom for example you have different 'lands' there such as Fantsasyland and Adventureland.
Even within IOA you have Suess Landing, Marvel and more so in a way there are already similar ideas already in progress.

We always get to the parks early, for many reasons, because our son is a very early riser, the weather is cooler and in theory parks quieter.

When we go to Universal in August we aim to be there around 08:30, with the walk then to the park entrances getting us to either IOA or Universal at about 08:45. Whether Harry Potter changes this thinking I am not sure, probably not. :)

If you looked on the Theme Park Tactics section, it says that atm it is 7 hrs to get into the area, plus around 4 or 5 hrs for the ride.

Obviously it will be a little calmer when you go, but I'd plan on at least 2-4hrs to get in and ~2hrs to go on FJ, for safety.

can someone also help me with this..
like i said i am staying offsite,
so i know i cannot enter WWoHP until at least 9 am.
but does that mean i can get into the actual park before 9 to wait in line for WWoHP??
any help would be great!!!

From what I understand from reading the 'crowd' thread, this is my take....

offsite you want to be at the turnstiles by 7:30-8am. They may let you thru the main entrance at 8am, but direct you to Marvel Island (offsite hotel guest's line). You queue IN the park thru Marvel and Jurassic Park to wait for entrance to WWoHP at 9am.

Onsite hotel guests can get in the park that early also, but will be directed the opposite direction...toward Suess Landing. There, they will wait in line to get into the land at 8am.

Like I said, it's only from what I'm reading and understanding. We don't go till mid July, and I'm sure my niece will drag me outta bed early to be at turnstiles 7-7:30am. We'll be IN the park before 8am waiting for the 8am early entry into the 'land'.

If I'm wrong...someone will post.

Hope this helps.
