WWOHP and FJ -- Were we not told hotel guests received one express ride per day?

I recall being told that hotel guests received one Express Pass ride on FJ? Is this not what we were told? How early is the park opening to accommodate the crowds? I bet around July 4th is is going to be insane once again?

How crowded is Universal Studios? Does the overflow from IOA make the lines also crazy at Universal Studios?

We have the "Harry Potter Package" and was told we would get one FOLT access for the HP rides. I hope they iron out crowd kinks before we go in July. I'm about ready to change our plans due to the long waits just to get into WWoHP. I'd rather do all 12 nights of my vacay at WDW than stand in 2-4 hour lines just for HP stuff....

I've spoken with the reservations folks at Universal several times since making my reservation for September, and each time I've talked to me they mentioned that FOTL can be used once per day on FJ, and DC is unlimited.

I don't think it has ever been in print.

Yeah, I was told that when I booked back in January but I don't think it was feasible any longer.

But the one-hour early entry was a God-send.

I was told the same thing when we booked for July 4th week. I'm glad I had to cancel due to a back injury though. After seeing the masses of people I don't want to spend all that money to be so crowded. I'm just planning a trip around the first week in December, it should not be as crazy.

I believe FJ refers to Forbidden Journey, the new ride in Hogwarts castle.

I understand that this might be upsetting but don't let it get you to down. I just back from WWoHP and they kept telling me different information. It was very frustrating but everything worked out. I had no wait to ride the FJ during our early access.

FJ does not have FOTL access yet. However, they do have a single riders line but it by passes the entire castle walk-through.

you just got back? and had no wait? so you got in early? how bad was the wait just to get into the area? and about how bad was the wait to get into the area and the ride during the whole day if you dont mind me asking? ill be in universal aug 7-9 and we are staying on property. we are praying we get to ride it.

I don't think you'll have any problems. The hotel told us we had access at 8am. However, we heard from others it would be earlier. On 19th and 20th, We got up and in line at 6:45am. They held the line on the walkway to Island of Adventure. At 7:00am they let us to the front gate. We waited until 7:15 before we were allowed into the park. They again stopped us in Seuss Land until 7:30am. We were able to get into WWoHP at 7:30am (one day it was 7:45am). The GP didn't enter until 8:45 or 9am. We were able to walk onto the FJ twice without much of a wait. We then did the single riders line until noon totaling our FJ ride count to 22 times that day! The normal line said it was 120 minutes by 10am but many of the families I rode with said they only waited 40 to 60 minutes.

The wand shop was the longest line I stood in. It was about two hours. The shops had about a half an hour wait to get in during the day.

I stayed last night got in early access yesterday, had a longish wait of about an hour or so for FJ but it broke down so I think the majoirty of the wait was why they fixed it...It is a great ride and if the wait is less than an hour I'd say its worth it. I'm against queueing for longer then an hour for any ride!!!

Also, when do u suggest doing Rip ride rock it since there is no FOTL access for that either???

While it won't ruin my trip, and I know I will still get early entry, it is disappointing to be told that resort guests would get Express Pass for FJ once per day and realize that it isn't true. I was told at least four times between February and April that we would have the access.

Yes, it is only for WWoHP but one day they were running Marvel rides to decrease crowds in WWoHP.

My kids are excited about WWoHP, but we are there for other things too. From what I have read, the other things will be easier.

Any suggestions for Rip Ride Rockit and when to go there and how that fits in with WWoHP? We are staying at RPH, but it seems to be FULL since I cannot make a reservation

No FOTL access for Rip Ride Rockit either, correct?
We are there two mornings so perhaps one for HP and the other for all that one?

I agree with you completely. When I made my reservation on the phone, I specifically recall the woman say that she was reading from a memo that they had just received on their desk. I was looking for clarification around the 1 hr early entry because inconsistent answers were being given (package holders only or package holders and resort guests). Anyway, she read the memo about early entry and also mentioned the Express Pass for WWOHP and stated that we'd each get one "one-time" express voucher. I called back to change my reservation twice and each time, they read the benefits on staying onsite and talked about the exciting new WWOHP and the one-time use express voucher per day.

However, sounds like no one has it in writing and therefore....it doesn't exist.
