WVL room views

There aren't different booking categories for views, as there are at BWV or AKV.

Most views at VWL are of woods. There are a few villas that overlook the quiet pool, and part of Bay Lake.

pretty much woods, woods or woods.....
It is very rustic and calming.... but as Carol stated there are very few other options

We got a room that had a view of Bay lake through the trees :lmao:
We did watch the EWP the nights we were there and it was fine... we could even see parts of wishes.
Request a room that faces Bay lake on a high floor see what happens.. we just got lucky we had no requests

We requested a high floor facing the lake but got 2nd floor facing the front. Our studio the wk of Aug 23 had a view of grass, woods and a service road and room was dead quiet. Maybe not an exciting view, but peaceful. The most exciting part was the little bunny that ate DD's cheetos that fell off the balcony.

The poor bunny! Did he eat so many Cheetos that he lost his balance??:lmao:

Had the Lake View (hold head to side & sqwint) but saw mostly trees

Had front view but saw mostly trees (no bunny)

Had side view looking at main lodge (with trees) - loved it in the morning!

If you desire a clear view without trees (and no bunnies), volunteer to be Flag Family - WOW - what a view!

whats flag family?

When checking in, ask if you can be the Flag Family during your stay. If a morning is available, you will meet with the Lodge Ranger (maybe Stan!) first thing in the morning (I think it was 8AM), and you will be taken to the roof of the Wilderness Lodge to help raise the flags that you see flying on the top of the Main Lodge Building! There is plenty of picture taking, etc. I especially liked the 360° view as your eyes sweep around to see the MK, Epcot, Swan & Dolphin, and other high points. The view is surprising and wonderful! You are also the few that can see the Main Lobby from the last few steps of the stairway that goes to the roof. Look carefully next time in the Lobby, and you will see the last leg of the ascent to the roof.

The experience is wonderful and ends with a great surprise. :wizard:

It is just not for kids. Our family ranged from 28yrs to 80 yrs. Stan really made it worth the long climb up. He shares many stories of the lodge.

And don't forget to take the lodge tour!
