Wrong date on DME letter & luggage tags

I just received my DME letter and yellow luggage tags in the mail and they have the wrong date on them!

Our arrival date is Thursday November 29 but the letter and tags have the 30th on them.

Can I still use them? Or should I just plan to pick up my suitcase myself and bring on the motor coach?

Call them right away and explain. They sometimes send documents/tags by 2nd day air.

Just called and the CM that I spoke with didn’t seem too concerned.

She corrected the date and said that it was fine for me to still use the tags.

I feel a bit apprehensive about that idea. I certainly do not want to start off our vacation with misplaced luggage.

The tags are linked to your resort confirmation number; as long as she corrected your reservation, it should be fine. If it really bothers you, you can always call back early tomorrow morning to speak to somebody else.

This is most likely not the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last.

Draw a line through the incorrect date showing on the yellow tag and write in the correct date. Same as for correcting an incorrectly shown resort name.

This provides a level of redundancy to help get your bags to the correct place.

If a CM still has some doubt s/he can verify your room reservation although it would be much easier to just follow your handwriting if due to some glitch the bar code puts up something that does not make sense on the scanner readout.

My latest set of luggage tags had the wrong resort on them - I called and they sent out new tags right away, had them in a few days.
