Friday evening I talked to some of the CM that work the VMK kiosk at DL.

They had not heard about all the problems with VMK and the lack of VMK Guest Services. I told them about email to VMK where they either don't answer or send a canned answer that does not address you email.

They told me to go to City Hall and write a complaint as VMK is tied into Disney Theme Parks and Disney wants good GS. I asked them about writing to Disney as most of us are not near a park. They said, yes, write.

So here is the address lets starts a letter campaign and maybe we can start getting some Disney Guest Services from VMK.

Walt Disney Company
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521

I know that writing letters does get a response from Disney. Have had it happen many times. All but was praise and they even responded to the negative email.

Let the writing begin.

Thx for the address, i might have to write them as i have quiet a few pieces of brimstone that could be sent there way. maybe our letters could be good or bad i guess we shall see.

However, let's think before we write. There are lots of terrific things about VMK and if they get too many negative letters, they might just think VMK is hurting their overall image and do away with it. I would miss VMK terribly if that happened.

So please mention the positive along with the issues you would like addressed and if possible, your suggestions for improvement. In my opinion VMK is completely amazing, and I really enjoy the friendships I have made playing it. Tell them you want to improve it because you love it so.

I agree with Caligirl. Afterall it is a free game. The more complaints the higher the chances of of them taking away vmk.

Nicely said Caligirl, and I agree!

:thumbsup2 I do think if you write to please state some postitives about VMK if all they get is negatives we may not have a VMK to play at all.

I do think they should be made aware of the negatives though.

I agree that we need to tell Disney how much we enjoy the game but they also need to know that their Guest Services is not great.

As for free for us, yes, but they are making money by get sponsers for the website.

I love VMK but on nights like this where I can not log on I don't like it and wonder why I waste my time.

My main complaint is the in park quest cards on ebay. I mean ppl are making serious money off this Free game. And it is not fair to those of us who do not live by parks or have enough money to visit very often. We should be able to do other things inside VMK to get some of the rare items besides trade. Ppl who trade only want rare most of the time, so we are at a disadvantage again. This is the ultimate discrimination.
I LOVE this game and so do my children, but we all see how it works. You have to be close to Disney or have al lot of money to get the good stuff.
I will rant about the game and all the good things, but perhaps an expiration date/time on quest cards would be a good idea. Or have them enter them in park only. I don't know, but something needs to change.

Just so you know, Erinsgirl32, not everyone wants rare stuff for quest or in park items. Especially here on the dis boards we try to share our good fortune with our friends in the game. Even when I trade, I personally always trade for buyable things. The exception might be a special pin that is available only from staff, since I never seem to be able to get things during VMK 'events'.

So please don't despair. You don't need to live near a park, or be beta rich in VMK. Just hang around the dis boards and make some friends. We look out for one another here.

ps - Welcome to the dis boards!

I am sorry to all here at DIS. I did not mean to offend. But I have been on VMK a long time, since August '05, and anytime i go to trade for special items, like dress parts or any costume item for that matter they say...only for rare. I do appreciate this board and all of its participants.
It gives me comfort when I can't play VMK and when I want to find out about special things. But I have never met anyone in game who does not want rare items. So I guess that I have never met any of the DIS members.
But I still feel that those who sell their quest cards on ebay are taking advantage of this game that Disney has provided to us for free.
I hope that I do meet you on VMK Califgirl, because I would like to have friends like you. My children get everything I own in life and in the game.
Thank you for reminding me of the good ppl here.
I am tmplot on VMK.

I agree that DIS ppl help each other out. I know that I am lucky to live near WDW, even though I can't afford to go a lot, and when I go I usually post and see if anyone has a coupon or something they want me to redeem for them. disney has the quest stuff so we will go spend money at the parks. VMK is like a big ad for the parks, really. But you can get quest stuff without going, if you are savvy about trading. Not everyone wants rare for rare. I usally do in the game if I don't know someone, but DIS people who need something I usually help out if I have it. MANY other people do the same, just check out the wish board! I agree that people selling the cards on EBAY are wrong, but people actually buy them! It's not illegal to sell something that you got free. I've seen how many bids some of the items get. But you also have to realize, it's just virtual stuff. Most of the quest stuff is not even as cool as the stuff you can buy in the game if you think about it! Rare stuff is wanted b/c its rare, not because it's some great item. Like inferno: it's not even the best magic to me. I like teleport the best. And cursed storm is free, and it's cooler than inferno to me! If that was rare, everyone would want it and no one would care about inferno, if inferno were a Kelloggs magic. I'm going off here but you know what I mean!

WHY IS VMK TAKING A YEAR TO LOG IN???!!!!

Anyway, welcome to DIS! I am Miakoda in the game...I hope we can be friends. I'm usually on a lot (not lately due to work) and I know a bunch of DIS people (they are on my friend list). The other day someone on DIS was hanging out with me and asked if I could invite some dis ppl to her room so she could friend them. I invited everyone that was in the game, and within 5 minutes her room was full, there was a line to get in, and she made lots of new Dis friends! people here ROCK.

I almost always trade for buyable things- I just insist that it is at least what I spent on the same items and would appreciate a bit more but not always

I have traded some rare stuff to people for fairly cheap too-

I think a lot has to do with getting trades here- and having people know you...

there are still things that I can't get close to getting but - I'm not all that hung up on getting beta stuff (looks like most will be re-released anyway- eventually) but I do like to get quest things- and usually am collecting for myself and kids- so it can be a struggle to get things...

I do hear you- but really- post your wishes/wants on the trade board and what you are offering- many will take shopping sprees for some things- especially costumes- I know quite a few disers out there that have stocked up on those when they came out again...

And if you get to know the people here they are more willing to help you out- but it does take time for people to get to know you and see that you are here for more than just easy/good trades lol

welcome to the dis- hope to see more of you
