not MM-DD format. 
I was almost scheduled off from my PT gig at TDS from 12/12-12/21 because the date was written 12-21 instead of 12/21. I only requested the one night to have off to join my FT co-workers for a holiday dinner. The scheduling manager thought I was requesting 10 days off.
