We have a reservation for WPC and I see that they dont seem to serve fries here.

Unfortunately dad is very fussy and wont eat any oher kind of potato and don't eat cous cous or potato salad either. He would be picking the steak but would not want the wild mushroom hash or truffle butter and would want fries instead.

I assume they dont serve french fries as not on menu but see on the kids menu they have smiley fries can anyone tell me what these are like?

Or has anyone managed to get french fries there?

I may be a bit confused:confused3 --but what/where is WPC?? I know most of the abbreviations, but that one threw me off!

Dad sounds like a plain eater, just the opposite of what Wolfgang's food is all about. I say you should select another place to dine, you have a mismatch of diner to restaurant and it would be hard to make either change stripes.

Never had these at WPC, but my DD has had smiley face fries at other restaurants here at home and they aren't really like regular fries. To me it is almost like they pipe out a smiley face made of mashed pototo and then put somekind of batter breading on it and deep fry it. I don't care for them, but DD doesn't seem to mind them.

I think Ore Ida makes these and you can get them in the grocery store if you want to try some out before your trip.

Yep - thats the kind of smiley fries I'm used to as well. They really don't taste like regular fries at all. Sorry

If your dad is that fussy, WPC may not be the best place to dine honestly.

I'm a big fry person but those smiley fries are kinda gross - they don't taste very friey to me.
