Wow, was it ever crowded.

If everyone is going to have an accent, i'm going to speak Klingon. :lmao:

We thought it was crowded also. We just returned on MOnday and was there 8/17-21. We go early May and late October every year and the crowds were much, much busier than those times. We tried to stay for EMH at MK on Sunday the 20th....OMG....the line to get your card checked in tomorrow land was so long. It stretched from the underpass by Space Mountain to the turkey leg counter near Buzz Lightyear. The line was so long, a manager just asked to see our cards and handed us our bracelets (which they usually put on for you). That should've been a sign for us, because within minutes the lines doubled for everything. We rode the TTC and left about 30 minutes after the fireworks. We wash our hands of the evening EMH for future trips.

God, yes that night was awful. We got our bracelets in liberty square and it wasn't too bad. However, all of the rides were rediculous. Space Mtn had to be 2+ hours long. We definitely avoided EMH at MGM the next night. Crowds overall were really heavy, but we got a lot done in the morning and late at least! It was nice to go back and relax from 1-4ish anyway and avoid some of those crowds.

EMH really bothered me because I saw MANY people without wristbands on rides, and not one CM said anything to them. At MK EMH night a lady was yelling at the top of her lungs at the CM giving out wristbands. I thought she was hurt or something beacuse of the racket, and she was speaking half English, half Chinese/Japanese (sorry I couldn't tell), but from what I saw, she was mad he wouldn't give her a band-she didn't have her room card, but I think the others in her party did. We walked away before I knew what happened but I felt so sorry for the poor CM who only tried to do his job.
I'm curious if the info about EMH is translated into other languages because the vast majority of people who did not have wristbands on did not speak English as their first language.

We just returned this evening 8/25, and didn't think it was too crowded at all. we were in WDW from 8/21-8/25, visited all 4 parks, rode everything numerous times with minimal waits- I haven't uploaded my pictures yet, but I took pictures in fantasyland this morning of posted wait time for Winnie the Pooh at 11:00- 10 minutes, and a picture of a near empty walkway in Fantasyland. I'll write a longer review tomorrow :thumbsup2

We also just got back Monday from WDW. It was so darn busy. Disney must have alloted many more Free dining reservations than last year! I was glad to see a lot more choices for the snack option though. It was fun, and not as hot as last year this time, by a little bit.

cgcruz - We were at POP from August 12 - 22nd. Your picture looks so familiar! I think we were on a couple of buses together. Were you by any chance at the Liberty Tree Tavern last Saturday?

We got back last night (8/19-25.) We usually vacation this time of year, but have gone at many other times as well. We also thought the crowds were light. We avoided EMH parks and had no problems. MK on Tues am was especially light, IMO. We used fastpass, but could've even lived without it.

It was a great trip and over all too soon. :sad2:

Am I the only one who finds this thread amusing... it's all prespective...One preson's crowd is another person's quite park....

It's all perception. DSis is a CM and is at the world daily. Her suggestion is to pay attention to the high attendance days listed on the Dis and avoid parks on those days, like avoid MK on Monday. Having said that, yesterday I was confirming my ADRs for September and the CM I was talking to said there were no ADRs available anywhere in MK or Epcot yesterday or today. (Fri & Sat). Last fling before Labor Day. Hopefully crowds will lighten up a little, but if they don't oh well. Party on dude!

We were there the 14th-21st and didn't think it was terrible, either. In fact, on the 15th at about 4:15 walking down Main St I turned to my dh and said, "where is everybody?" It did get more crowded but it wasn't terrible. We went to the parks early, rode what we wanted and headed out between 1-3. We had a great time! :thumbsup2
We were there about the same dates (a few days earlier, but not in the parks until the 13th). I agree w/everything that you wrote -- esp. the part about being in MK on the 15th (my bday!) and it being practically empty!

I didn't think the crowds were that bad ... maybe b/c I expected worse!

The one thing I didn't like was no fast passes during EMH! The line for SM was a 70 min. wait!!! We skipped that and rode other things (Pirates, Buzz, etc.). Of the whole trip, I'd have to say that was my only complaint.
