Wow!! That was a wild ride...

This is a strong tropical storm ...not quite a hurricane. We had a lot of rain today, though nothing all that impressive. Then all of a sudden...whoosh! No computer...no electricity....went outside and the winds were really blowing...trees bending....BIG time. The electricity just came back on (20 minutes after lights went out Entergy was in the neighborhood and 15 minutes later there was light...not bad) and I checked out the local news...it was the eastern edge of the eyewall passing over us. Tells me why I always leave for big hurricanes.

There has been a tornado upriver from here with 4 mild injuries...my thoughts to all of you who deal with tornadoes....

WOW Donna...I was wondering how you guys faired with this storm. Hopefully it isn't a picture of things to come - they say there is suppose to be more storms this year!

I think storms can be kind of fun - - if you know you're inside and everyone is safe. But that's like a hard rain or thunderstorm I'm talking about!

I hope the worst is over for you and your community! It sounds like this one was really bad! I remember living through a hurricane when I was a child a couple of times and they just skirted the coast, not a direct hit. But it was scary even then!
