Wow - MK hours are crazy long this March compared to last

Wow, just took a look at the March MK hours this March and seeing hours like 10 and 11pm closes - must be really crowded out there!

Last year the MK was closing 7 or 8 pm

Attendence must be way up

It is a bit scary for those of us going next week. MK was closing at 9 on Sat. 27th and now it is 11. The rest of the week was extended most nights, too. I am cringing a bit at the thought of the crowds. I am used to the nice uncrowded January touring!

Maybe we will just have to spend more time by the AKL pool!

We were there last March and MK closed at 7. We are going next week (same week as last year) and I am terrified by those long hours! It was not crowed at all last year!

We were just at MK this past Saturday (the 13th). We decided to hop to Epcot around lunch time because it was getting too crowded for our taste. Same thing Sunday at AK. We left at 1PM because the crowds were getting very thick.

We were chatting with a CM at AK. He told us this past weekend was the start of at least a month of heavy crowds.

Last year, tourism was down because of the Iraq situation, but it's definitely up again this year.

On the positive side, if you get there for opening, you have a couple of hours of tolerable crowds, and you can pack a lot in before it gets bad.

we just got back last night <yes again lol>..we got to MK about 10 minutes before the morning show and let in the park at 5 till 9 for the rope drop...we went straight to peter pan <the only thing we haven't managed on other trips> then on snow white neither had a wait yet,,walked right on went over to buzz and grabbed FPs and went on TTA then AO and COP all just in time for our 10:30 buzz FP so we had 6 rides done by 10:45 after that though FORGET IT..don't know what rock everybody crawled out from under but it got busy quick...i've seen worse but still to crowded for us we managed to see the tiki room go on the liberty bell and go to the horseshoe then jumped to epcot where test track was at 65 min and no FPs left and mission space was at 75 mins although i think it still had FP left <my step-son is to short so we didn't pay much attention there> as long as you get there first thing you should be able to get ALOT done

OMG! This post made me go and recheck the hours for our trip next week! Holy Cow - they increased the hours on the day we will be doing MK from 8:30 - to a 10:30 pm close. That is a huge shift! The crowds must be immense. They did this last year to us during May but it was a shrink, not an increase in the hours.

Oh, man. Thank goodness this trip is not about WDW - we are only doing a day there. I hope I have enough breaks planned.

maybe I'm totally nuts, but the longer hours don't really bother me. I love the MK at night. we have APs and planned a last minute trip to get away from this dreary, nasty weather. we'll lay by the pool, if we must.....it's a tough job, LOL, someone has to do it

I have 2 options, deal with crowds and sunny, warm weather...or I stay home. It isn't much of a choice

We can hardly wait to wait in line with nice weather and people on vacation. We just had to shovel snow off of the roof again here near ever white Lake Erie and both my hubby and our two daughters agree that as soon as we pass the Mason-Dixon line we seem to lose winter fat and get an uncontrollabley goofy smile the closer we get to WDW.
March 31 to April 17. Bring it on I say.
