for the first time in almost 100 years (the last was in 1913) we will most likely have measurable snowfall on Christmas Day! We had a little bit of snow on the ground on Christmas Day 2004, but it fell a few days before, and that was rare! Southern snow, a rare treat! :santa:

COOL!!! You can share some of ours-we have about 40" on the ground already this winter :lmao:.

Awesome! Enjoy!

My DH has a client up this week - originally from Alaska, now lives where they don't get a lot of snow - and she is loving the snow for the holidays!

You must somewhere nearby ~ I just read the same thing on Accuweather! So hoping we have a White Christmas :santa:

Where are you? Wish we could have a white Christmas!:santa:

Enjoy!! And make sure you take lots of photos..:santa:

To those who asked, I'm just outside of the Memphis city limits.
What usually happens with a forecast like this one is...we get nothing at all, more snow than predicted, or ICE! I'm hoping for a pretty snowfall that melts the day after Christmas..lol!

They are predicting snow here on Christmas too! We haven't had measurable snow fall in this area on Christmas since the 1940's.

Here in VA, we are supposed to get snow later on Christmas Day, evening. Oh wow, I am thrilled. I hate snow, but I will not be in it. I have to take DD to Richmond to be with her DF for a few days early Christmas morning, then high tail it back home.

watch it come down, maybe bake and drink hot chocalate. There have been a couple times past few years we got it the day after Christmas, in 98 I think we got it on Christmas day, but it was more ice, snow mix, not happy.

But for all those who wish for a white Christmas, hope you get it.

I'll pack up this crap and mail it to anyone that wants it. Thank God we have the equipment the roads.

Enjoy! We always wish for, but seldom get a White Christmas, and won't again this year. We did have one of the few of my entire life just two years ago and it was great!

I'm in NY. We have NO snow and none predicted before Christmas!:sad2:

I know my kids is bounce off the walls talking about we have a White Christmas. Just today outside with no jackets at all jumping in leave piles. I am exciting to it will be my first White Christmas too. I going outside to play too.LOL:lmao::lmao::lmao:

The weatherman is going crazy talking about snow. Okay I live in the South. Talking 1.1 inches of snow. Okay it have go through the mountains to valley. Good Luck.

That is very rare for us, too, but it happened here (north Texas) last year. Everyone was sooooo excited ::yes::. I hope you get it!! :santa: :cold:

I'm not upstate, but yup :-( We had a beautiful blanket last year-- I miss it so! I'll be very upset if Farmer's Almanac is correct and we have snow all of January instead!

I think we have had only 3 days w/o measurable snowfall since Dec. 1. It hasn't really piled up yet though (only 2 paid driveway plows so far).

I'm inside Memphis, and hope the only thing we get is pretty to look at and doesn't stick at all. Hate the cold , white stuff.

Lots of snow here...schools and highways were closed 4 days last week...glad to send it to anyone who wants some. ;)

I am in Nashville and at first they seemed to be predicting more than they are now...as the day has progressed it has dropped from 3" to 1" to "maybe a dusting."

If there was any one day of the year I would want to get buried with snow, it would be Christmas. Kind of bummed it's just some passing showers....I guess our White Christmas came early a couple of weeks ago...we got 5" at our house.
