Wow...Memorial Day Weekend....

So yesterday I made a *classic* booking error. We had booked May 23rd (the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend) until May 31st in a 1-bedroom at AKV Kidani Village. After talking with DH and my brother and his girlfriend, we all decided for this adult-only trip, we would prefer to stay at BWV. So what did I do? We cancelled the AKV reservation, and then attempted to book the BWV reservation!!!! And ya....Memorial Day weekend is packed at every resort! The only place we could find to book was at SSR. EVERY other resort, including OKW, didn't have a studio for that weekend. So, now we have a 1-bedroom at BWV, checking-in on Monday (Memorial Day), and are on a waitlist for a studio for Sat/Sun night. Sunday night was virtually impossible to find a room anywhere!!

Sooooo.....should I assume it will be crazy busy that weekend??? Do the crowds let-up during the week following Memorial Day?

I'm glad that you found room at SSR! I've a DCuz who would love to join our March trip, and even SSR doesn't have a studio available for the 4 night trip.

We have a waitlist for the Sunday of Memorial weekend as well, we want a savannah view Kidani studio, but we do have the standard view. We have 3 villas that night, everyone else is savannah view, and I am hoping we can all have the pleasure of savannah rooms. Ours is a 2 bedroom, so our friends can join us for some animal viewing there.

Wow Bobbi....what is going on in March that would make is so crowded? Spring break? Yes, we are excited for the trip! Hope you have a blast too!!!

Star Wars weekends start in May, including Memorial Day.
That might be part of the trouble with BCV and BWV. Close to DHS and all....

Yeah, our contract took so long to clear I wasn't able to book our end of the school year trip until Jan.

We've been on a waitlist for BWV Memorial week for a month now. Had to take 4 days at VWL & we're filling in the resat @ Pop.


So you bet I had every phone in the house calling ay 8:59:30 on the 11 month day for our Christmas trip. The MS said "you sound excited" when I got through & got the room we wanted for the days we wanted.

Memorial Day weekend is pretty busy, but I've found that the following week slows down a pretty good bit.
