Wow! Look what I saved at DS!

Stopped off at the DisneyStore on my way to see my sis. THought I'd see if there were any little goodies on sale since we're leaving for our big 2 week trip in 3 weeks. Here's my "damage" report! The original price is in ($); the price paid for each is written after.

5 magic towels ($2.50) 0.99 ea
5 Zazu beanies ($8.50) 0.99 ea
4 Popsicle makers filled w/ candy ($4.50) 0.99 ea
3 Goofy Action figures ($8.50) $1.99 ea
2 Mickey Surfer plush ($12.50) $3.99 ea
Girl's Ariel sandals sz 11-12 ($12.50) $1.99
Girl's Cinderella socks ($5.50) $1.99
Adult womens Mickey Tank shirt ($14.50) $3.99
Cinderella Doll w/ clothes kit ($16.50) $9.99
Princess Cash register ($14.50) $5.99
4 Glider planes ($2.50 ea) paid full price (oh well! Can't win em all!)

My total (along with my 10% DVC discount) came to about 60 bucks even! And what did I technically "save"? About $130!

They had some other stuff on sale -- pjs, some clothes and t-shirts, etc. But the kids always like to get the shirts at WDW (so that they SAY WDW on them... and my elder son likes the shirts at Team Mickey ONLY. And DH likes the shirts at ESPN. So there ya have it -- no sense buying them at DS, regardless of savings. But I did get the tank top for me -- I'm not as fussy as my crew! ) I HAD hoped to get the deals some have mentioned (like music soundtracks on sale) but no dice. Nonetheless, I'm quite happy with my haul!

I am loading up on all those types of goodies too. I plan on having "Tinkerbell" leave one each night we are in Disney to make the magical experience a bit more thrilling. My DD loves Tink and I hope that this plan will help keep souvenier shopping to a minimum. I got a ton of stuff on line as well as some things in the store.

We went to our DS (ha! ....45 minute drive!), and there was very little on sale! They did have a couple of globes (I collect them), but the only one I wanted was broken, and it was the last one! Anyway, I walked out with only a catalog! That is rare! I have been very disapointed with our DS for about the last year or so....mostly stuff for VERY young kids...very few adult items or collectibles!

The princess jewelry box/globe for 19.99! Reg. $98 (not that I would ever pay that)

I am saving it for my DD's birthday. She sat w/ the displayed one the entire time we were there just staring at it in awe. So I know she will be happy!

They also have the buzz light year one (in a rocket ship) for 19.99.
I might go back and get that on for her twin brother. I waited because the boys really don't appreciate them as much. But it was a great deal.
