We've never been during a holiday season, but I have heard that the decorations are fabulous. But how is it to tour the parks? We're not commando tourers in the fullest sense of the word, but can manage to get our family of 5 going at a quick pace if necessary. We're finally beyond the diaper years, but will have a kinder, 2nd and 4th grader. Is it feasible to see a fair amount of attractions (using Fast Pass, of course) without spending huge amounts of time in line? What about counter/restaurant dining? Our list of must do's don't include many of the riskier rides because we don't do coasters, so we would spend most of our time seeing shows and doing the tamer rides. We would be arriving late on Sat the 20th and departing on the following Friday, so wouldn't do much park touring on the weekends.

Need honest feedback.

Thanks,
Vicki

Hi VickiVM,

I've toured all the parks during Christmas for the past two years. The decorations are fabulous. The live entertainment is spectacular. The crowds are of biblical proportion.

But if you're there mostly for the decorations and entertainment, and use a good touring plan, it'd be a lot of fun. It's probably less crowded the week before Christmas than the week after, too. And the winter deals are pretty good. I'd go.

Sincerely,

Len

I think Christmastime at Disney is just the best! My kids are older so I can't help with that aspect. Just plan to be flexable and take lots of breaks. I imagine your kids will have more energy than you LOL. :)
