YAY!!! HAVE A BLAST!!! You are going to love it...I thought I'd be pretty depressed but seriously it was much easier then I thought. Knowing the kids were safe, seeing how much we got done in shorter time, and watching melt downs with sympathy but not dealing with them ourselves was pretty nice.
Can't wait to hear from you when you return!

I am glad I found your TR! :thumbsup2 I love your humor, and cannot wait for more popcorn::

Great! :) I am in the process of typing out the rest (hopefully) of day 1 right now..I am putting it all in a word document as not to lose anything like I have on recent occasions where I had to start over. Sigh, I just hate that.

Going to go refill my :coffee:

DAY 1 continued

So here we are taking in some popular street fare...very funny quirky show I might add * if you are ever in the United Kingdom stop by the side road to your right and get a good laugh* ;) As you can tell I have walked by Canada --right on past Le Cellier. We still have an hour till our ADR and we needed to pass time. TC was taking in the atmosphere and adding remarks at the fact we literally could walk from one country to the next "Only at Disney World". That literally melted me and I realized I may just have him. He may be starting to "get it". His eyes kept darting as if he would miss something and wanted to continue walking the WS which I told him that would have to wait. We had ADR's that I wanted to get to 15 minutes early. Blessing in disguise we would find out.

I needed to make a restroom stop so we headed through the turnstiles of International Gateway (which I had never been through before) and made the quick stop. AHHHH "the other side"! I planned on taking the walk to the Y&BC later in the week to Cape May and had a small taste. Back inside we made our way to Canada and checked in for ADR then sat down on the bench outside the doors. 5 minutes till 6 and the crowds started lining up for their ADR's, then the people without ADR's who got mad at the mere notion that they couldn't be seated. And people were hot and miserable. We were then relieved we got there early and checked in, grabbing a seat---but decided to give it up to a nice couple with 2 small children who looked noticably fatigued and stand inside since I knew we'd be called momentarily. And we were ;)

Once inside Le Cellier we were seated in one of the Provinces (lol, notice I don't remember which one?) as the restaurant, the waitress tells us, is split into 2 sections just as Canada is. Interesting. So we give our drink order *water for me~~ iced tea for TC* and decide on appetizers. I get the Cheddar Cheese Soup and TC gets the King Edward Mussels. MMMM both were amazing (I've had the soup b4 and it was just as tasty this time). TC was shocked by the overwhelming flavor of the Moosehead beer and was confused about why I would enjoy it as much as I did (hate beer). He enjoyed sampling both and we shared happily. My all time favorite Pretzel bread (along with the multi grain and sourdough) made it to our table. Wish I had gotten pictures, not for the board but for my photo album. I love the presentation. So onto food selections. I got the Mushroom Filet (after debating over my tried and true free range chicken) and TC ordered the Prime Rib. TC didn't like the sauce that it was topped with (Veal Demi Glaze) and his potatoes were a tad firm for his liking. I wasn't fond of the mushroom risotto/white truffle. But the 2 beef dishes were wonderful! I really enjoyed my tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned filet! YUMMM. Dessert consisted of me with the Creme Brulee Duo--one is a vanilla brulee and the other the constant favorite, MAPLE. TC got the Canadian Club Cake and the server asked if she could pour the cream sauce over the top and when TC said no she said "BUT WHY NOT??" He said he could do it himself (unsure if he'd even like it) and she cursed under her breath (the harsher words of GOSH DANG IT)It, at the time, was slightly funny that she took it so personal, so we didn't report it.
I started complaining to TC that our check was taking too long and I hadn't seen our server in over 15 minutes. Suddenly out she comes with the check and a card which was signed from all the servers and staff for my birthday which was the following day. She said the ADR CM had it noted on my ressie. AWWWWWW. ;) TC made a nice loud comment to me "And you were complaining that the check was taking too long, don't you feel silly" embarrassing me on the spot to the table sitting extremely close to us---THANKS TC!

So stuffed and ready to roll---no literally, we could have rolled down the walk way, we headed out to make our way along the World Showcase. Since we didn't have the kids we walked into EVERY shop along the way and snapped a few photos such as these masks
DSCF0732.JPG
which TC's father (who oddly collects them) will enjoy. Strolling along we debated staying for Illuminations so we figured we'd waste time in Norway and Mexico (hint 2 rides) and see what time that brought us to. So a first for me I rode Maelstrom. LOL is all I have to say...It was cute, kinda cheesy and I'll do it again for sure...but the FP? Don't see the need...maybe b/c we walked right in and right on and were the only ones in there..I just thought about all the comments I have read ont he DIS and how many enjoy this ride....Next we headed into the "Wanna Be It's a Small World" known as El Rio del Tempo. I like this cheesy ride also...but can't stand the real thing...Yes I said it...I don't like IASW! and refuse to bring the kids in (which isn't hard to do since they don't like it either! LOL).

So once out we realize it is only 8:30, we've been up going since 2:45ish and I hadn't slept AT ALL. We head back to the resort instead of catching Illuminations knowing we'll get back for it later in the week..I then start realizing I have been in the World for wayyyy too many hours not to see an LGMHPC's and vow tomorrow that will change. I was armed with mine and nodbody noticed...hmmmmm
Back @ CSR.... Unfortunately my acid reflux takes over and keeps me sick for 4 hours. When it hits that bad nothing stops it. And it is a rare occurance, but one I live with. At about 1:30 enough was enough and I drift off to sleep with a wake up call from Stitch scheduled for 6:15 AM :) Will I get up??? Oh wait...it's my birthday and we have MK planned..OF COURSE I'll get up!
Sorry not as many photos of the evening, I'll attempt to do better for DAY 2

Stay tuned!

what is lgmhpc
thanks

Lime Green Mickey Head Paint Chips....You can get them in the paint section of home depot . It is a DISboards symbol, showing you "Dis" and some exchange them with their DIS name to remember who you met.

Also some people use them to decorate their room windows/doors....:") There are many threads on this subject....Do a search for "green club" or Lime Green..:)

This is such a fun trip report. Thanks for sharing the trip with us. Keep it coming. :)

Thanks Redheaded Mama!! It is a lot of fun to write and relive! I am really getting into putting details of Day 2 down . It was a great day packed with a bunch of things we got done. :) Stay tuned!

So I am extremely bummed right now...I typed out complete and very detailed accounts of day 2 and 3...Into Wordpad....well I saved them last night and went to bed...I come on and attempt to post them this morning and..................they are MISSING!!!!! WAHHHHHHHH I guess it didn't save for some crazy reason and now I have to start over.

Good thing I have the next 3 days off! LOL :)

See you all soon and don't give up on me!

That stinks! :sad2: I did that a time or two when I was in college, and at midnight the day before everything is due, it stinks to have to rewrite everything. Cannot wait for your next installment :cool1:

I am working on my DAY2 right now...Hopefully I can bang it out before lunch...I have a lunch date with DH...we realized after this trip how much more we like each other...:) I'll get more into that soon.

Time is ticking.... :hourglass

DAY 2

So I am sure I will mess this up now considering I had it written when I was feeling creative, and now here I am feeling ashamed for not making sure my work was completely saved before X'ing it out for bed...

So I trudge on................

Day 2 started off with a wake up call that I didn't realize I hit the speakerphone button for. As you may recall I was awake most of the night and had actually been up for a good 40 hours before that. WAKKKKKKKKKEEEEE UPPPPPPPPP GRUMBLE GRUMBLE HEHEHEHEHE arghhhhh dang Stitch...I have such a love hate relationship with that guy. I love his look, hate his annoying little voice. So I roll over and nudge TC who is oblivious to the screeching noise coming out of the phone on MY side of the bed. He asks what time it is and I delightfully (haha yah right) exclaim, 6:15!! :) I knew we needed to shower and get ready then head to the Pepper Market which was a hike and a half from our room. SO we start and are quickly moving out the door taking the GORGEOUS stroll around the property. One we grew to love and admire every single day and realizing we truely had a blessing in disguise being placed in building 6A. I got to stop and lounge on the hammocks:
DSCF0742.JPG
which we almost napped on the next day :)

This was the day we were going to find TC's new love.
DSCF0744.JPG
He would eat this every single day for the rest of the trip. It was the Southwestern Omelette ...yummmmy I grabbed a bite and I must say, if I had the stomach for a big breakfast THIS would be it. I decided just to grab a cup of fruit (which was really sweet and juicy) and an english muffin with jelly. Coffee was an everyday wake me up for both TC and myself ;) After getting breakfast down (and paying OOP) we headed to the Bus Stop # 1. After about 10 minutes our bus pulls up and we get on...the only ones heading to MK on this bus...This would become the norm, us on a bus alone, feeling as if we were being brought privately to the parks ;) Another big plus on CSR being a convention resort! We got the MK around 8:15 and walked to the dead turnstiles where they let us through @ 8:30 to stand at the rope drop below the train station. I spied an elderly couple on ECV's with the bride and groom Mickey/Minnie hats and had the entire area saying AWWW once I pointed them out. I looked and TC and he grabbed my hand as if reassuring me WE would be like that someday....I hope so. They were adrorable!
<ok, going to vent here for a sec>
This is when I got my first disappointment of the trip in people....While standing there I overheard a family say "We can just say we have ADR's and they'll let us through" grabbing the kids by the hand and walked to the CM standing by me. The told her they had 8:45 reservations @ CP and she waved them through. I did everything in my power to not say anything as I was afraid of the kids feelings if a CM said something but I stood there shocked these parents would LIE in front of the kids just to get to Main St--where they'd be stopped by more ropes in the "ride"areas. SAD.
So the rope drops and off we go , slowly wandering down Main St were I step back and start my snapping of castle photos all the while TC mumbling, if you've gotten a photo 10 years ago, 5 years ago, THIS year, why do you need more? I start to explain that the castle changes and I like having them then realize what I am taking a picture of--A CRANE!! A CRANE on the precious castle...The magical item that you first notice when you realize you are in Disney, and there is a BIG CRANE propped next to it. Scarred for life I delete most of the photos and kept 1 pathetic photo to share:
DSCF0747.JPG

Sigh....So we move onto our journey to TOMORROWLAND...Stopping at the rope for a few moments and then being trampled to the back of the line by people racing to Space and Buzz. We make our way and grab FP's to Space and then head over to Buzz where we would ride it 4 times in a row (I ended up riding either 7 or 8 times that day) laughing hysterically each time as we tried to beat each other's score. TC had never been on BUZZ and he kicked my butt.
DSCF0750.JPG
But not by much as here is mine:
DSCF0749.JPG

After that we headed towards Fantasy Land to make our way to the Haunted Mansion. This is how quiet it was:
DSCF0751.JPG

We walked right through the que and were the ONLY ones in the stretching room...and totally alone on the ride. It was eerie. (Hitting save just in case I loose anything here lol)
We are feeling the heat at this point and start walking to Big Thunder but quickly change our minds and get in the line---well actually there wasn't one----for Splash. It was amazing how quiet it was. I forgot to take off my hat and while going down it flew off, but being the quick one I am, I caught it in the air. The people behind me said "AWESOME CATCH" as soon as we got to the bottom as they actually made bets I'd lose it if I didn't remove it! LOL
Once out we make our way around to the new and improved Pirates of the Carribean. I enjoyed the slightly new version and TC said he didn't get what was so "new" about it...He hasn't been on this ride in 6 years so I forgave him. He kept pointing out how much he almost thought Johnney Depp was really there! lol. From here we had a new window to get another FP so we grabbed one to the Jungle Cruise. In all my trips I had never been on and had promised myself I'd try it. We make our way from the back across the park *we did a LOT of back tracking and walking* to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mtn. I got the front seat and TC was right behind...I heard him grunt a few times and he said after he didn't remember it being that "whippy". He thought he had whiplash! LOL
Time for lunch at this point I am telling him what each place has knowing he will end up picking my favorite. PECO'S BILLS IT IS!! He enjoyed this lunch so much and this was his second taste of the Dining Plan. $29.74 that we didn't have to pay for....Felt nice and he said he wants to get it even if we pay for it ...everytime! ;) TC got the double cheeseburger with bacon and I got the chicken wrap...YUMMMY. I loaded up on the toppings bar and had some melted cheese for my fries. mmmmmm We split my Peanut butter brownie thingie and gave the other one to a woman and little girl sitting nearby that didn't have dessert. Her mom was very greatful and we felt good that we didn't trash it. We head over to the Jungle Cruise and had a very funny, but soaked with sweat driver. He was so soaked that people were backing up as he was dripping and it was pretty icky! I felt bad for him but his energy level didn't at all suffer. He was a ton of fun!
TC asks if I want to stick around or head out and I tell him I want to go get a drink at the Poly and show him a few resorts. We jump on the Train and took it to the front of the park, which TC enjoyed...He mentioned so many times that "Disney has thought of everything" We leave the park and hop on the monorail We are still really full from lunch and walking is miserable to we go to the marina and rent a sea raycer to go out on the lagoon with. This was a ton of fun , but our raycer must have been broken b/c people were FLYING by us in the same boats and we were going full speed...It was pathetic! We laughed quite a bit and TC got to ooooh and ahhhh at the Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian from the water. At this point the sky is growing dark so we head back to the marina to go get a drink at the poolside bar praying the rain holds out. At the marina they ask how our time out there was and when TC just says "Our boat seemed slow" she took $20 off the rpice of the rental...WOOHOOO drink $$ :) We get our drinks in Souveniour glasses and start to walk and tour the property when the sky opens up...BUCKETS...It is pouring pretty bad and we look at each other, shrug our shoulders and step out from under the cave waterfall by the pool into the rain. It felt really good on our skin as we were pretty heated up. We had a ton of fun drinking our now partially watered down drinks walking in the rain. Once we finished those we went to the monoral and it was pulling away............

Be back in a bit to finish ;) I need to get the dishes done and do some laundry!

So where was I? Oh right...the monorail was pulling away as we stepped foot onto the platform. Brilliant me decided to suggest heading to the bus stop downstairs and going to Downtown Disney. In the rain ;) TC agrees and we make our way back through the top level of the Poly, down the stairs, out the front door and across the walkway to the bus stop to sit...and wait....and wait.....and finally after 20 minutes the DTD bus pulls up. We board and were the only ones on it which is always a bonus. Once at the Marketplace enterance we head into the Disney Day's of Christmas store. One of my favorite stores in ALL of WDW. I made note to return later in the week so I can stock up on new ornaments and grab a few for family. We start to head out of the store after a few minutes (well almost 30 since I love it there) and we can't get out. People were blocking the doors with strollers and bags and what not as it is pouring and everyone is seeking shelter . Finally the rain started to let up a bit so we pushed our way to the front and walked across to Goofy's Candy Company. TC wanted a double shot espresso and I wanted a caramel iced coffee. TC was ooh and ahhing over the selections here and wanted to watch as some items were made for customers. Wandering from there we headed into Disney Tails and I picked up a few Mickey head shaped toys for my dogs. I own 2 Boxers and they LOVE a good game of tug-o-war with a new toy...What better then Mickey? :) I grabbed a Bandana for my not so playful English Bulldog and a box of treats for my parents Boxer. Feeling satisfied for thinking of the dogs TC says "Is there where they have all those LEGOS???" I smile and drag him across the Marketplace and his eyes almost fell out of his head! He was amazed at the water dragon, the lego people, the transformer looking guy....He couldn't get over it. TC loves LEGOS but has never seen anything like that. He now said he wants to start building life sized things out of legos...great. lol

At this point it is about 3 pm and our dinner ADR @ Tony's isn't until 6:05 so we head through over to Pleasure Island. I couldn't believe how much of an eye sore the construction going on was. Didn't start off as a good impression at first for TC but once we rounded the bend and came over the bridge near Planet Hollywood he saw what it had in store. We made our way down to the Virgin Megastore and browsed for a bit. It felt good as the heat and humidity outside was making us miserable and sticky. I decide to pick up the Cheetah Girls 2 CD for Ashley and look around at some books upstairs while TC "tests out" some video games. We start to get bored and I ask him if he wants to head towards the Grand Floridian to check it out. He points out that since he has never seen ANYTHING here and I have that I should just do and not ask. Hmmm...So out we go and to the bus stop to wait for the Grand Floridian bus...that seemed to never show up. There was another family there that were getting impatient so when we saw the Poly bus I suggested we all grab it and then take the monorail over to the Grand Floridian. They were relived as the kids were miserable. So was I kids, so was I ....Boarding the monorail I almost got into a fight with a woman who lit up a cigarette on the platform . I told her that it was NONSMOKING there and she told me, TOO bad, I am smoking a few puffs and I should move if I didn't like it. The CM standing nearby heard what was going on and scolded her. There was a sign saying no smoking----and she was LEANING on it. Not to get into the fact she was smoking as that doesn't bother me, but that is all about ignorance. Once on the monorail she mombled and complained to the man with her who kept shushing her as he was getting embarrassed. Once at the Grand Floridian we take a stroll around the property to the boat dock to sit and wait for a boat to the MK.....Well we see nothing at all going on
DSCF0759.JPG
...and realize that there wasn't one that was going to come at all...BUMMER because here comes the rain--AGAIN. Pretending not to mind we walk back to the main building to the monorail. At this point I wish we had time to go shower and freshen up before our ressies, but alas we wasted that time and it was 4:35. We got off the monorail and glanced over to the boat dock--ROPED OFF. No boat to the GF. sigh. Live and Learn ;)

Back into MK we head to Buzz and I attempt to kick TC's butt..HAHA nope, still not going to happen. We wander from there over to Liberty Square in and out of shops like Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe (notice I like XMAS decorations???) and check out some portraits being done in the Portrait Gallery. At this point I wonder if we can get in early for our ADR as I'm getting Rumbly in my Tummy. The mob scene @ Tony's took my slightly aback. People were arguing with the CM's. One conversation went something like this:

Angry woman: I had 5:10 ADR's and checked in 15 minutes early, but you have taken "walk-in's" before me"
CM: I aplogize ma'am but we haven't taken any of the walk-in's yet. They were told 45 min to an hour.
Angry woman: Yes you did! I remember exactly who has been called and they came in after and was put on the waiting list. I made ADR's 180 days ago!!!!! How dare you!
CM:*loudly* No ma'am, these are who have been called. "The XXX Family, 5pm ADR, The XXXX Family 5pm ADR, etc......he pulled out the cards as proof. He apologized and said they were running behind. At this point the woman sat down and they called her within 3 or 4 minutes. I felt bad, as they were taking walk-ins (with a wait) and ADR's were falling way behind.

I checked in at 5:50 (15 minutes early) and go to wait outside
DSCF0766.JPG
and we were called shortly after 6. We were taken to our table which was decorated for my birthday
DSCF0767.JPG
and then the restaurant swirled their napkins when a CM had me stand up and he announced my 26th birthday
DSCF0768.JPG

I didn't take food photos here. I got the Spinach Artichoke dip (which I really liked) and TC got the Soup of the Day...I think it was a chicken Tortellini, which he said he enjoyed but didn't LOVE. For our meals I got Chicken Fiorentina. I didn't like this AT all. It was sort of a Chicken Cordon Bleau which I normally like, but this dish didn't do it for me. TC got the NY strip steak and it was very good. He really liked his potatoes. I liked the red wine gorgonzola butter it came with. (My mouth is watering right now! LOL). Noticing the calamari appetizer passing our table every 2 minutes started to kill me as I had wanted to get that for an app, and he was afraid, but then he became disappointed that he isn't more bold in his choices. Rounding out our dinner was the dessert sampler that we shared. It has cheesecake, Tiramisu and a cannoli. This is what is served on the DDP. I really liked this dessert. I am a HUGE fan of Tiramisu. We could barely share it as we fought over it lol. Total here would have been $92.05. We had a great server so we left a $10 tip ontop of what she received on the plan. During our dessert a little girl behind TC took a liking to him and started playing peek-a-boo with him. Her mom asked her to turn around and apologized and TC egged her on...He is so BAD! I kept telling him to stop but they just kept laughing. The mom got up to apologize directly to us and noticed my streamers (they had just gotten there) and asked if it was our anniversary or honeymoon. TC said "Nope her birthday" . SHe had her daughter sing Happy Birthday to me and it was adorable! We got up and left a few moments later but that made my night.

We decided to head to Big Thunder Mtn where my stomach was starting to turn as we boarded the ride. Frightened I may be sick I focused on taking photos and chatting with TC.
DSCF0777.JPG
. Once off I felt a little bit better so we headed over to Adventureland and walked up the Swiss Family Treehouse. TC was expecting something exciting, but instead I made him and his full belly walk ap a million stairs and back down again ...He almost looks happy about this in the pics:
DSCF0780.JPG
NOT ;) From there we make way to Main St for Wishes and stake out a spot in the dead center of the street. Other people gathered right behind us and it started filling up very quickly (dark photo ..
DSCF0786.JPG
) Directly in fron of us the CM's started moving people along (YAY! no people up against us) and told them to get behind us or WAY ahead of us as there needed to be a pathway right where we stood. Hoola Hoop games were going on with some kids and CM's and it was great to watch them get so involved. Announcements start and people settle down a bit. And then it begins ....ahhhhh Still my favorite.
DSCF0801.JPG
This shot makes it all worth hanging around for the fireworks.

From here we fear the worst with the lines at the bus stop and contemplate hanging out for a bit till the crowds clear. We are feeling fairly tired as it was a long second day and I still hadn't gotten much sleep so we headed out. There was maybe 8 people in front of us when we arrived at our bus que. The bus pulled up less then 5 minutes later and we got off @ bus stop #1 so I could get water @ Panchito's Gifts. Walking along we saw I am guessing Illuminations across the way from our resort:
DSCF0807.JPG
. We watch for a few moments and head to the Dig Site to see what time the pool bar closes.....7...dang.

So we make our way past the 22 person hot tub where it was packed to capacity again tonight. We saw this very often as after a day in a convention I'd want to hang there also! I take in the air and just realize that I spent my birthday in the best place in all of the USA (IMO) and realize life is good. TC must have been thinking the same thing because he grabbed my hand and smiled. I called the kids and chatted about the day and said my goodnights just as we got back to the room. A nice long hot shower was in order and it felt good to climb into bed with nothing but happy dreams of what was still to come. Especially this view that I would wake up to the following day
DSCF0814.JPG

I love the new installments! I truly get bugged when I see people lie about things to try and get their way like the lady with the fake ADR's. I thought they actually had a list of people that had reservations at the front. We didn't do early bkfast this time, but we did before and I thought they checked us off. Maybe I'm having old age syndrome. :teeth:

I did see a lot of smokers, but I wouldn't have said anything. I'm extremelly non confrontational unless you mess with my family.

Why was the boat dock roped off??????? :confused3 We used it the whole time we were at the GF. What was up? And no bus back to the GF from DTD? Something must have been wrong. We had to wait awhile at AK, but not too terribly long. It was very smart though to catch the Poly bus, because you can take the monorail. I'm bummed out that you had trouble with the transportation from GF. :sad2:

Cant wait for more. Remember to save and if your computer doesn't, well... :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :teeth:

ET: LMAO! I want to smash the computer...I DID save...or I am already losing my mind...It must be from my Disney withdrawal. I guess not finishing this report is my subconcious not allowing me to end my trip. I am very nonconfrontational also..But we were in a tight space and it was a cloud filling my lungs and those around us...Not fun when you have smoke allergies.

I have NO idea what was up with the buses and also the boat...??? It was very strange to see. I remember my last trip the same thing happened but it was because they were starting training with a new driver and the boat had to be empty. Never know ;0) The buses on the other hand were just rather slow that week IMO anyway....Seems we waited EXTREME amounts of time for the CSR bus---which didn't bother us as much as if we had the kids with us, but would have driven us nuts hanging out at a bus stop after a long day...Only thing that made up for it was the fact that the buses were virtually empty when we got on and stayed that way ;)

Enjoyed reading ~ Thanx for posting.

;) Hope you'll stick around. There are still 5 more days...Who knows how long it'll take me to get it done, but I will...I just have to sit here long enough to type it out. lol I enjoy reliving the trip. Makes me think of things I'll do different the next trip, or things I will enjoy doing again.

I'm still waiting to hear about the next 5 days..... :teeth:

Where are you...Yoohoo MissMichelle, where are you??? :listen:

BWAHHH!!! I started Day 3 the other night in the middle of the night but I am ashamed I haven't finished...but I DO have a good excuse...I just started my own cleaning business, am still working part-time @ the Wholesale club and LASTLY we are in the beginning stages of buying our land, picking the plans to build a house. I am overjoyed, anxious, and more nervous then I have ever been. So to help ease all that I will continue back a few weeks ago, during a time when nothing mattered.
Day 3 will be here later ;) I'd say I promise, but then I'd never forgive myself for your hives and allergic reaction should I miss a beat.
