Oh, MissMichelle - good for you guys taking a kidless trip! I'm so jealous! My little guy is tons of fun, but DH and I could really use some time alone! Especially since we've transferred to a new state...we don't know anyone, so babysitters are pretty much out of the question for now. I hope you have a great time! And for your birthday? Enjoy it - be sure that wear that birthday button proud girl!! Enjoy - look forward to hearing about it when you get back!! Sending some pixie dust your way!! :tink:

THANKS! Hopefully you'll get a trip alone---my kids are 6 and 10...How old is your little guy? I never thought we;d get a trip without them---and the plan was only 3 nights---it turned into 6! :Pinkbounc

YAY!! I have been reading your TR! LOOOOOOOVE IT!!

Same birthday!!! WOOOHOOOO I'll wish you a Happy Birthday Tuesday..and I am sure you won't be able to forget about me in the World as we share that day.

I don't really even know how I managed this trip...My kids have been getting in as much extra cuddle time this week as humanly possible..I feel like a lemon that can't be squeezed anymore! lol.

Finished my LAST day of work today....The day dragged and I got some of the crap jobs, but that is what happens when boss lady is jealous of your trip (and yes she told me so...meanie). Anyway when i get there i have plans to meet up with my immediate supervisor who is in the *world* as we speak. Which is pretty cool and I just found out last week we'd be there the same time.

I hightailed it out of work early because....dun dun dun---sinus pain. OUCH....My head hurts--I feel icky and have taken some Sudafed. Hopefully it is just allergies and I will be ok---but if i am back here crying tomorrow, just deal with it and let me whine ok? ;) Tell me it'll be ok, it'll all work out and I will feel 100% in time for my trip....

Ah thanks, I knew I could count on you all.

SO tonight TC is going to get a haircut...then I am headed to get a pedicure---My mom called me and said she felt she needed to do something as this is the first bday in 26 years she HASN'T seen me. As I said before she lives next door and we are realllly close, so it is going to be odd---no mom, no kids, just me and TC on my birthday...Oh wait....and MICKEY MOUSE TOO!!! YAY Now I feel better ;)

Time to head off and pay last minute bills, once again check my lists, do more laundry, and get ready to make dinner. TGIF.

congrats......i'm glad you found a way to get away just the two of you. My DH and I are going in Oct. for 4 days without the kids as well, we have traveled before without them for my DH's work, but never to disney without them....they tell all their friends we're leaving them home :rotfl: they were just there in April!!!!You will miss them while you are there, but you will also have an awesome time!! I always leave a bag full of small goodies and a special note for each day we are gone that they have to open together (we have 5 kids).Last trip my youngest tried to open them all on the same day----boy did that get the peanut gang going. My kids have such great stories about how grandmom made us sweep the entire house/how she made waffles for breakfast on a tuesday/how she gave us extra snack money, etc. that in leaving them with loving people to care for them they had their own memories and funny times to share with us when we got back!!! I never thought about it that way until i got back from the first time leaving them.....and now I don't panic at all, cause in their own little way , they are going to have fun too!!

Don't stress too much!!!
I'm a Michele too

Thanks Michele with 1 L ;) My kids will be ok I am sure, but the guilt has set in even more the last 24 hours...My son woke up this morning and said "I have to say goodbye to you tomorrow night mom"...I leave in the middle of the night and he is trying to convince me to wake him up!
The kids will be pretty busy with school and all so it'll go pretty quickly for them I am sure. They LOVE staying with their grandfather and he'll pick them up Friday so they are really looking forward to that.
Thanks for tje kind words----time is ticking :hourglass

Looking forward to the rest of your trip report. DH & I are going kidless in Nov. Our kids are much older, yet we still haven't had many trips without some form of family or friends. Kudos to you for not waiting as long as we did!

We did have 3 Blissful Days Alone together :cloud9: in December in WDW before our kids & grandkids joined us. It was Pure Heaven. It's amazing how Romantic WDW can be....and Relaxing! It's a totally different experience.

Have Fun - Enjoy Each Other & the Magic!

I just I am just nervous..I seriously thought I was going to get more negative feedback then what I have b/c I myself felt extreme guilt. It just works out that we can go right now. Kids next trip is already booked (Next October) so that helps make me feel better.

Have a GREAT trip in November. I'll be reporting back soon on the bliss I call *kidLESS*. ;)

Hey I'll add an extra candle to my cake for you, nobody will notice it with the blazing fire from all of my candles! :lmao:

Mommies deserve a break once in awhile so they can be better mommies. ;) Don't feel guilty, enjoy it! You will be able to love your kids a lot more when you get back because you had a small break from them. :goodvibes

I am in a fog this morning. Here it is---less then 24 hours till I am flying through the sky and I am overcome with 2 very strong emotions dueling to win. Even though I am nervous I keep thinking of what you and others have said---I will be better for it, and this vacation is VERY much needed.

Happy Birthday to US Happy Birthday to US, Happy birthday me and E.T. eeeeeeee....Happy Birthday to US! :bday

Thanks for the candle...Lord knows DH hasn't thought of anything---good thing I am selfish and spoiled and noted my own birthday on my ressies <dork> lol I asked him if he was even going to remember to say Happy Birthday and he said "Oh yah that's next week, what day, or just tell me what park we'll be in." UGH! Gotta Love his lack of thought process. He's all too honest....2 Years ago he wished me a Happy Birthday everyday for 4 days, because he wasn't sure when it was! :furious:

Time is ticking...Gotta get stuff done...I will return <praying DS's soccer game gets rained out>

So fellow reporters...I leave in a meer 5 hours (dang ticker got me excited--it said 1 hour...sheesh).

I went and dyed my hair dark today...I have a meet planned for my birthday and now I am afraid my accurate description of myself is slightly jaded <VBG> Sorry fellow boardies, I am Michelle...in disguise. No really--I am!

I am overjoyed, ecstatic, over-packed, freaking out and just plain HAPPY!!! I can't contain my giddy emotions and DH is gonna kill me...he is trying to get some sleep since he caught a peak up my newly printed Itinerary...WOOOPS---he almost choked! He said if he doesn't rest now he WILL collapse in the World...See I am commando---get my stuff done first THEN relax---But he needs to humor me..I have goals. Such as ToT (he is dreading) RnR, Soarin, TT, Dinosaur, EE, and that's about it...after that he has say---but not a second before ;)It'll take ummm..about 4 days to get it done, b/c I will visit each OVER AND OVER AND OVER---if he's lucky ;) Kidding, but I will get my way ...

I am sitting here..lounge pants, tank top, sandals---easy airport attire...waiting for the night hours to pass me by---listening to the rain puor down around me (well not really I'm inside--but the window is open). I really should be nappin, but I am on high--not literally, but I feel like I am on speed or something...I want to clean, I want to print more, read more, pack more (totally out of space!).

Well Maybe I'll go set my Tivo for the week...Night all, see you on October 2nd, I'll MISS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT pretrip!!! Hope you're having a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to read it when you get home!!!!!

ps....I'm a sahm, soccer, ice skating, pto mom who totally understands your need for vaca sans kiddos!!!!

HI ALL!! I am here in Disneyquest in the internet Cafe. Gotta be quick but wanted to say, weather is GREAAT!!! Also lines are still minimal....HAVIN A BLAST!!

Be home Monday....Still haven't seen any LMGHPC's....:(

MICHELLE

Bumping this thread up...I just got home 30 minutes ago and downloaded the pics...First things first lol...now bed....Hopefully I can start my trip report tomorrow...HAD A GREAT TIME...Bunches of pics and lots to say...Hope you'll all be here to catch it ;)

Yeah! I can't wait....:hyper: Did your dh remember your bday and did you have a great time? :teeth:

Here's a belated Happy birthday wish! :bday:

ET, he remembered, but how could he forget??? I reminded him! LOL Nothing special from him but it was ok---I spent the morning in MK then....oh wait never mind you'll have to read DAY 2 for that information, when I can get a chance to write it...TC is home from work today so I may not make it on...PLUS I have a severe migraine that started Saturday night and won't quit..the plane ride was harsh---oooops that comes on Day 7 ;)

Thanks for sticking around!

DAY 1!!!

Who:
Michelle: turned 26 on the trip (9/26) and is so insanely obsessed at this point with Disney DH is asking if I need to start taking meds, or if he should cancel credit cards and shut me off....humphhh
TC: 25, I call him DH even though we aren't TECHNICALLY married...what's a piece of paper anyway? I've had a ring for a few years now and if I don't plan this wedding it won't happen---so I refuse--why let it cut into my Disney time?

Where: Coronado Springs Resort and all the WDW glory!
When: 9/25-10/1
Why: Because we need a vacation from our darling children ;)

So I stayed up all night on the 24th...packing, cleaning and trying to ready myself for a journey...one I am scared to death to take...One that means I leave the kids home for a FULL week...By now you should have read my pre-trip report and know who's who and what's what. If not I'll be here when you get back ;)

I heard the alarm go off @ 2:45 and TC got out of bed and headed out to find me. I was on the computer running my scans and shutting it down for the week. Making sure I wouldn't come home to 5,000 emails and writing the kids more lil notes to find. I stuffed them in backpacks, lunchboxes, dresser drawers....you get the picture--I went nuts. So I called and awoke my father who would drive us to the airport and he woke my mom who came to stay with the kids and get them to school that morning. I said my early morning goodbye and kissed their foreheads and stepped back to watch them sleep...I finally made my way out the door @ 3:20 and we were on our way. I chatted with my dad some nervous chatter on the way to Logan while TC dozed a bit in the back seat. It was a 50 minute drive and we arrived to check our bags curbside with Jetblue. It was pretty cold out so I jumped around abit and day dreamed about the warmth on my skin a few hours later.

Once in the doors with bags checked we saw security hadn't opened yet and we would be close to the first through @ 5. We grabbed pastries @ Starbucks and decided to wait till we got through for coffee. I couldn't BELIEVE the amount of people trying to walk through with coffees and drinks and actually FIGHTING with security over the absurdity that they would have to THROW AWAY the $$ they just spent. GASP! Read the news much??? We quickly made our way through shaking our heads. We realized we wouldn't board for an hour and 15 minutes so we had mucho time to spare...TC grabbed a coffee (it was horrible and he trashed it) and settled into a chair to sleep. I took out a magazine (*Cosmo I think*) and started to read but then got so tired I thought I'd fall over. So I concentrated on 3 children who were let to run crazy through our gate area and knock into people...I LOVE kids, but this made me SO glad mine were at home asleep. At 6 I woke TC and we took this photo:

and then the preboarding was called shortly after. Take off @ 7 am and TC slept the whole way. I watched some TV and read the rest of my magazine, chatting briefly with a man on the end of our row. He was actually going to CSR for a business convention--small world ;) Landing @ MCO about 9:55 felt REALLLLLY good and I got some shots from above right before landing which I won't bore anyone with ;) Headed down to DME and was taken quickly at the desk...They then ushered me (literally as a DME CM was walking that way) to my roped area. We were told we were the only ones headed to CSR and were boarding an almost full to capacity bus---2 seats left---far away from each other. So I sat with a man who kept TRYING to read my info in my clear packet. I realized I had it in my lap with my name and address facing up...Kind of creeped me out a bit but brushed it off.
First stop---POP..more then half the bus poured out, then a quick stop @ AKL where we unloaded everyone else...Our Bus driver joked about the private service we could now recieve....MMMM Disney Magic ;) This is my first taste of CSR:
DSCF0691.JPG
But it seemed to end when......I got building 6A Ranchos...which if anyone here knows CSR, that is the FARTHEST building (I think) from civilization! Luckily no kids with us and we can bear with walking. Quite a bit of it we'd find out. So even less magic, The room isn't ready and I feel/look like crap from being up since 3am and can't freshen up till luggage gets in. We decide to go check out Pepper Market as we are starving half to death and have lunch. We split the Fajita platter (which is pictured in the CSR report in my signature link) and it was more then enough. We decide to head over the the Dig Site pool and go swimming...Great move as it passed time and felt really good...BAD move since the "LOVE BUGS" were to the extreme! We couldn't set our backpack anywhere are they were covering it and if anyone has been lucky enough to deal with these "love bugs" this month they'd know what I mean. After a quick dip we head to Siesta's. The pool side bar and order a few drinks. I am practically EATING bugs at this point and do everything in my power to ignore them. Max the bartender notices and explains their "business" in the area and why they are so bad. Lack of rain/storms and it is mating season...hmmm great--humping bugs that love extreme heat! ;) We then chat with Max about Boston/Orlando and the difference he finds in nightlife. I say Orlando is fun, Max says Boston is where it's at...is anyone ever happy with where they live??? I'm sure not! LOL....
Time for a stroll around the property to find our building before we even get our # Time for me to OOOOOH AND AHHHHH.
DSCF0693.JPG

At about 1 I call over and find out our room #...
DSCF0923.JPG
and head that way. It is facing a parking lot...hmmmm...well we'll deal. After all, the resort is gorgeous and we are @ WDW!!!

After dropping everything off we head to Epcot. I had ADR's for Le Cellier that evening and wanted to see if I could hit some rides..maybe 1 or 2..HA! We get there and lines are non existant....Soarin, Test Track, Living with the Land
DSCF0716.JPG
, Mission: Space, Spaceship Earth, a stroll through both Innoventions and then we realize we did all of what I had planned on my actual Epcot day! We walk towards World Showcase and stop for a lil street humor:
DSCF0724.JPG

Time to stop a bit here...since I can't load too many photos in one post...Stay tuned..I am tired tonight as I am suffering from migraines and am getting sick :( Why does WDW do that to you??? :worried:

I popped over to see if you had started and YES :cool1: there was the first part of your trip report! I love your start so far and can't wait for more.

And I've been noticing alot of people get sick after Disney. I have my own theory which is that we overdo it trying to cram everything in after already arriving tired from the little sleep we've had before arriving. And then to top it all off we get depressed coming back which kicks our immune system all to shreds. There! How do you like my theory? :teeth:

I will keep checking back for more! :goodvibes

Michelle......Great trip report! Can't wait to hear about your week. We were last last week too but, alas, with kids. What a great trip with NO kids. Good for you. We had the same experience at Epcot...we covered Future World with no lines the day I had planned for us to see the world showcase so that was one less day we had to get up early! I also had the same love bug experience. Ick! Anxious to hear more..........

ET: I love that theory! LOL Depression....hmmmm I'll tell DH that ;) I won't however tell him we over did it..He has a new love for Disney (not as severe as mine) but he finally *gets* why I want to experience and share it with everyone I know as often as possible...He was even talking about our next trip and has many times since last Monday when we stepped foot on that wonderful 47 square miles of happiness!

Melinda: Weren't those lines great! We walked onto EVERYTHING that day....and you'll see the trend as I get through the week ;) Thanks for sticking around and reading...THere will be much more to come today ! Love Bugs....aren't they great? haha
