Hello :)
I am not quite sure where to put this post... hoping it would be okey to post it here?
So, I am going to WDW with DH in November for 7 nights (YAY) and I have been planning like crazy.

This summer, my SHOW CHOIR (Children and Youth age 7-17) sent an audition video to WDW, and guess what?!?
We got accepted to sing at Disney Springs July 1 - 2019 + have a work shop at Disney on June 30 (2019)
I am sooooo exited... this will be the second time one of my choirs are going to WDW
(last time was back in 2009)

This November, I have 7 days park hoppers and I am thinking of getting the Memory Maker.
We are also staying at POP
Since we are going back next year I am thinking of upgrading to AP

Question number 1. We have bought a package with room, tickets and the dining plan for our November trip.
Do I upgrade to AP BEFORE this trip and see if there are any discounts for a "room only" AP?

I know I will have to buy the AP and 7 day park hopper tickets for DH separately if I buy AP now.

OR do I upgrade my tickets to an AP on my first day there so I can get all the AP benefits?

---------
NEXT.....
For our June/July trip summer 2019 DD and I (We are both conductors in the choir) will arrive a few days before the rest of the group. And we would like to do both Disney and Universal on this trip + a few days or more at the beach.

Not sure what the best thing would be? Go to the Beach first and then go to WDW/Universal or the other way.?

I have never been in USA during 4 of July celebrations and we would like to experience that in 2019
Would we be "crazy" to spend the day at WDW?

How would you plan this trip?

I am sorry if this is a bit confusing... my head is a bit "all over the place" and I hope my english is okey.

Any tips or input is highly appreciated :)
Thanks, best from Adèle Marie

I will try to answer your AP questions. You do not need an AP in-hand to take advantage of an AP, room-only discount. Simply call WDW and ask them to price out resorts with any available AP discounts. If one sounds good to you, book it and cancel the package you have. You can then buy your AP and park hoppers separately (is DH going on the July trip, too?). If the AP discounts aren't good enough to warrant canceling your existing package, simply keep the package you have and upgrade your PH to the AP on the first day you get there. That will put your AP discounts in effect from day 1 and also put Memory Maker in effect on day 1. If you know you will be purchasing an AP, there is zero reason to pre-purchase Memory Maker.

Thank you very much... I will do that :)
No, DH is probably not going on the trip in June.. because we are not sure he will get time of from work.
It will be DH and I on this November trip and DD and I one the 2019 trip (+ the kids and parents in the choir, but they will book for themselves)
