Would you watch a Pirates of the Caribbean TV series without the original characters? I saw this funny video and it got me thinking would I watch it?

Pirates of the Caribbean (Power Rangers: Megaforce Style!)

I could see ABC doing their own thing with an obviously lower TV vs movie budget. It could show 18th century life in the Caribbean, with action, romance, struggles, and humor story lines for both towns people and pirates. Its' cast could be full of diversity as well since the region was diverse since colonialism. Just think about it, new characters with a brand new story line and be able to enjoy that genre 13 to 22 episodes a year. This is also assuming no more pirates movies in the near future (at least after POC 6 if it ever happens). What do you guys think, a possibility or only a dream? Thanks. :jumping3: pirate:🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇫🇷🇳🇱🇪🇸

No. Favorite ride, favorite “live action” movie, favorite character but let’s not ruin a good thing.

I could get behind something set in the same universe with different characters, but I think I'd prefer it to be animated if it were a TV series. For the next movie I think they should keep it in the same world, no more than a cameo by Jack, and focus on a new batch of characters.

If it had the characters from the attraction I sure would watch it.

I feel like they could do something with Redd. I know the change was scoffed at by some, but she is appealing I think. They could build around her and use others from the ride. Her ship could even be the Wicked Wench.

Right! They could develop names and personalities for the most memorable characters in the attraction. The mayor & his wife, the three guys in the cell and the dog...lotsa possibilities. Then there's the guy with the hairy, muddly leg;)

They tried with Crossbones and sorta succeeded with Black Sails, but pirate shows are really a niche.

And... I like Disney, but I would trade the last 3 PotC movies for just one more season of Black Sails.
