Would you want an Aladdin restaurant in Magic Kingdom?

Why do you want the ride gone?
It's an off-the-shelf state fair ride. Aladdin was such a blockbuster movie and deserves so much more. A themed restaurant done right would be so much more entertaining.

I agree, but there's something about riding on a flying carpet. I haven't been on Dumbo since before it went to the tent, but we still ride the carpets.
So if the "off-the-shelf" carpet ride were to go away, I'd want a replacement totally immersive magic carpet ride -- without removing Philharmagic either.

If they'd like to develop a fully Imagineered attraction around Aladdin, I'd be all in for that. But the question was regarding an Aladdin themed restaurant, which I think has more potential than the current attraction. :earsboy:

If I were king (or genie) I would not trade the carpets for a restaurant.
But I do still like the restaurant idea.

Would you want it in Jasmine’s Palace or in Agrabah’s marketplace (like DLP)?

Would you want the food to be the same as the restaurant in DLP or would you want some unique menu options that would be exclusive to WDW/DL?

I wouldn't be against it as long as it's cool. I am not really sure that it belongs in Adventureland, and Epcot might be better - but it Aladdin doesn't necessarily belong in Morocco either. It's not really where the story takes place, though I don't think an Iraq Pavillion is coming any time soon!

Disney set the cartoon/live action in Jordan (a US ally). Agrabah is supposed to be somewhere in that region. The restaurant could have food from Jordan, Israel, and Saudi Arabia that would give a positive attitude towards the Middle East. Food brings people together.
