Would you spend your Kohls cash before the item ships?

I bought ds13 a new coat from Kohls (not a Christmas gift) and earned $15.00 Kohls cash. Since shopping around would take a lot more time than I have these days, I ordered a few (4 -Macy's & 1-LLBean)and can easily send dh to return the ones we don't want. All had free shipping. Ds can make a decision when they all have arrived.
So far, one of the Macy's coats came & the LL Bean one.


The coat from Kohls hasn't even shipped yet though I ordered it last weekend and it's in stock. The Kohls cash expires Monday. I can't imagine the coat will arrive before then.

I don't need anything from Kohls but it would bother me to know it expired and I did nothing with it. Then again, if I use it to buy something, let's say undies for dh for future, and we end up returning the jacket, they will deduct the $15 from the refund.

Hmmm... maybe I could just return the undies when I return the coat?

I finally paid his Kohls charge off and really don't want to get roped into unnecessary spending. I guess that's the purpose of Kohls cash...It's a big lasso. lol.

With the bad weather a LOT of orders are not arriving by the date expected. I too have a Kohls order , 1/2 of it showed up today and no idea when the other half will show. I have had Kohl's allow me to spend Kohls cash after the valid dates of use~ but you should call your Kohls to see if they will do the same. Just explain to them the shopping delay. Worst case scenario, purchase something to use the cash, and if you return it you will receive a store credit that you can use whenever. If you have a kohls receipt form anything, it should say that kohls cash is refunded in the form of store credit.

Yes, I could understand that once UPS gets it, it may take a while. What I mean is that Kohls hasn't even begun the shipping process yet.
It's not urgent but it seems strange to take so long.

I would, but I would make sure to buy something I was going to anyway, or something I know someone will need like underwear, socks, gloves etc.

You can call your local kohls, some of them will take expired kohls cash- I have no problem using it at mine.
