Would you say BLT is more geared for adults?

The pool looks kinda boring for kids.

Which DVC resorts do you consider the most "kid friendly"?

How old are your kids? On our off days, our kids love the Sea Raycers too and the best place for those IMHO are the monorail resorts for access to 7 Seas Lagoon/Bay Lake.

When we were looking into buying into DVC, our boys preference was BLT. They can't wait to stay there. They are 14, 12 and 8. They had no desire to stay at AKL again (even though we do!).

Plus, if you're at BLT, you can always go pool hop at the Poly or GF.

My girls are 9 and 6. We stayed at WLV and they liked that the pool had a little water slide. We are debating btwn BWV (fun looking pool and I wanted to be close to EPCOT) and BLT (I DO like being on the Monorail line). Just can't decide!

Not at all. My DS8 loved it and there's a daily pool party with music and games so it's pretty fun. It's no Stormalong Bay, but it doesn't compare badly with most other WDW pools. The slide is really fun, too.

I would have to say no as well... my kids (DS7 and DD4) LOVED the pool. My DD even went down the "big" waterslide and we had to pull them off :)

We don't think so but our children are older. The arcade at the CR is great (at least my kids love it) and you always have both the BLT and CR pool to use which gives you a bit of variety.

Also, you are just a boat ride away from WL if you want to pool hop over there.

I would say BLT is geared towards almost every age. I will say that the pool is my least favorite thing @ BLT, however, my children enjoyed it immensely!

DD7 and DS7 Loved the pool and the slide. It was extremely hot last October and we spent more time in the pool than ever before.

And of course location is great for all ages. MK right there. Monorail. Dining at Contemp., GF, Poly, or Epcot all short rides away.

Both of my kids loved BLT when we were there in Oct. DD7 and DS9 both loved the slide and we spent some time on the beach also, my DH and the kids were checking out the little lizzards runing around, and the kids loved playing ping pong by the pool. DS wanted to spend a lot of time at the arcade but didn't get to. Oh and my kids really liked the walk to MK. It was so nice at the end of the day to just walk to the hotel. DS even said he was so glad he didn't have to wait for the bus when we could just quickly walk to our hotel. We all loved watching the water pagent from our LV studio, it was something we had never seen before.

Our kids (7 and 3) loved it. They liked the pool and the slide. Staying at a monorail resort for the first time was a big deal for them. Being able to see the castle, other resorts, Electrical Water Pageant, etc. are all things they still talk about a month later. I think they liked it more than I did.

Yeah, our son loved the pool as well. Don't know what you're looking at that makes you say it looks boring, but we found it was quite the opposite.

great info all! The pool is super important to our kids (ages 6 and 4) and I thought the pool looked a little low-key at BLT. Good to hear how much the kids are still loving it!

When we stayed at BLT last September, although we didn't get a chance to use the pool, my DD (then 5) thought BLT was very cool. She loved seeing her favorite sights from our balcony, seeing the castle from nearly all of the public areas, and we all loved the convenience of the monorail. I can't wait to stay there for an extended period of time so we can really check out all the goodies BLT has to offer. :goodvibes

Oops, I guess I didn't do my homework. I didn't realize the pool had a slide. I was just looking at a "map" picture which doesn't really tell the whole story. Thanks so much for setting me straight!

it definitely has a slide - a fast one.

so does the main pool over at CR.

it also has something you girls might love - those fountains things - that splash water when you step on them or something.

lots of kids (even a few teens) seems to love that area.

the whirlpool tub is small. It is definitely smaller than VWL (which is a smaller resort). got told it was because BLT is smaller....yea right....
