Would you pay $75-$90 to see 'fake' Disney Princesses?

Price wise that's not bad for a kids entertainer. I know we paid a couple of times that for a generic kids magician.

They may very well find a Cease and Desist letter in mail very soon.

Aren't all Disney princesses fake? They come from fiction and the park representations are just that, representations.

I don't think so. They are calling it the "Ultimate Princess Party". Nowhere do they refer to themselves as "Disney Princesses" or by any
"Disney" name (as if they have a monopoly on certain names)

They do in fact use the Princess names. They also have a "Coronation of Princess Elsa" planned. There is more than just the event page to this. There is a FB page and a website. In one place they say to come see your favorite "Disney Princesses". Also, on their FB page they claim to have the rights from Disney to be doing this. Thats a bold faced lie. If they did, they would be using Disneys name all over this for promotion.

Here in Nashville, apparently there are a group of girls acting as some of the Disney Princesses, hosting events, and charging $65 per child, $10 for the first parent, and $15 for the 2nd parent to eat ice cream with the 'Princesses'.

Is it just me or does this seem tacky as heck? They aren't promoting these as a Disney event which makes me wonder about the legitimacy of it, but they are using the actual Princess names. To me, it just comes off as a scheme to take advantage of people who maybe can't afford to go to WDW.

Events like these are all over the place, and yes, they're perfectly legal. Our local home & school association did one last year as a fundraiser for a playground.
Would I pay the money? For the one advertised, no. But as part of a fundraiser for something, definitely. We've done it twice now - once for the local chapter of our Children's Wish Foundation and then of course once for the H&S.
