Would you like Mowgli and Shanti (the village Indian girl at the end of the 1st movie) to be WDW/DL park characters? I was thinking they could be at a character meal with the Skipper Canteen. Thoughts?

I'm a big fan of the characters in general-so I say the more the merrier...I don't really do meet and greets, I just like seeing them

Sure, why not? Mowgli is a hard cast though being as he is shirtless and visibly younger. I think what you would do is not treat them as face characters and instead have larger suits that emulate their animated look.

Disney is working on Jungle Book 2 (the live action version, the cartoon version came out in 2003). Mowgli and Shanti would be around 16/17 years old, so Disney could easily change their attire for something respectful to Indian culture and modesty.

That could work then as face characters, but they'll need to get the movie out first.

Mowgli has appeared as a face character in the past, so there's no reason they can't bring him back. I don't recall Shanti ever appearing. But personally, I wouldn't want to see Skipper Canteen become a character meal. It would probably be better if they appeared somewhere in DAK.

If India becomes a WS country, they would be added easily to the pavilion.

Updated thought. The actor is now 21, so if Disney does do a live action sequel they could definitely explore more things with Mowgli and Shanti as adults in a new story.
