We are going to spend two days at DW and are trying to decide whether or not to go to MGM and do the PD show and character meal. Is it worth it to take a four and two year old for that? Is there anything else at MGM that is worth seeing with little kids?

Thanks!;)

they have a great muppet 3d movie, awesome character meets with sweet Toy Story characters galore, an amazing parade everyday(check times but usually 3 or 4 pm)parade is really child friendly, perfect for those ages.......Little Mermaid is loud for youngest but perfect for 4 yr old,our DD4s favorite show ever and Beauty and Beast is just like a live broadway show, your kids will be enthralled with this show, dont miss it, its only a few shows every day so be sure to plan around Beauty and Beast show!(LOCATED NEXT TO tOWER OF TERROR)
Theres a meet and greet with Jojo and Golieth and sometimes Daisy and Donald too. MGM is fun!princess: princess:

Playhouse Disney was my children's favorite attraction by far (ages 5 and 2) -- we actually saw it twice. They can enjoy everything at MGM with the exception of Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roller Coaster. You can ask for a "test flight" on Star Tours and they will take you into a simulator and go through the entire routine, just without the motion. My dh did this with dd2.

Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid were two of their favorite shows as well. We did not see Indiana Jones but both enjoyed Lights, Motors, Action. The probably would have spent the day at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground. We probably saw more characters there than any other park -- Power Rangers, Buzz and Woody, Little Ensteins, JoJo and Goliath, and others that I can't remember right now.

My girls are 5,4 and LOVE all of the atractions already listed (especially Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast..even my 1 yo dd liked these)...they also love the Great Movie ride and Star tours..lol They enjoyed eating at Pizza planet

We were there in Feb and my kids are 7, 5 and 3. They LOVED the High School Musical Pep Rally, HISTK Playground, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, the Stunt Show. We also had pics taken with the Power Rangers, Jojo and Goliath, the Incredibles, Little Einsteins, Lightning McQueen & Mater...

And they loved the Stars and Motor Cars Parade.

When we looked back on the trip we were amazed to realize that everyone's one favorite thing was in MGM!!! We expected to like it but didn't expect to love it!

My little guy (age 3) loves MGM for the characters! He is Little Einsteins crazy, so the Playhouse Disney breakfast is a HUGE thing for him. He still talks 6 months later about meeting the "real" June. I think it was one of the major highlights of his life so far. Only slightly second to that was meeting the "real" Lighting and Mater and the "real" Buzz Lightyear.

He also loves the Little Mermaid show, the Lights/Motor/Action Stunt Show, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasmic.

We love MGM!!! My daughter is 4 now and we went there just for the playhouse disney show and the playhouse disney character breakfast. The show is very cute. Bear and the big blue house characters, jo jo's circus characters, winnie the pooh from the book of pooh characters and a few more. We also had the BEST character breakfast we have ever eaten at Hollywood and Vine. My 12 year old was not thrilled going to this character breakfast, but he did admit it was the best tasting breakfast meal we had our entire trip. A very nice selection and it was so fresh all the time! The Little Einsteins were so cute and so was jo jo and gollith. My daughter loved when the characters took a break and had the kids follow them in a line around the restaurant and dance. It was definately worth our trip to MGM.

Little Mermaid show is great, Beauty and the Beast also. My daughter also really likes the Great Movie Ride, especially the scenes from the Wizard of Oz.

My entire family always makes a dinner reservation for the Sci-Fi Dine In. It is the highlight of our day! We love eating in the 50's style cars and they have the best hamburgers, onion rings and chocolate shakes. We go there every trip to Disney just for those 3 things to eat. My kids also love watching the wait staff zoom around on roller skates. The usually get there food on a glow in the dark frisbee, an also the glow in the dark cups with the flashing ice cubes in different colors. They love to bring these home with them!

I think your family will have a great day at MGM. The parade is really nice and has many different characters than the parade at Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom!

Have a great trip!

We have to go to MGM to see the characters, as they have a ton of good ones there. Such as The Cars, Jojo, little Einsteins, Kim Possible, Power Rangers and The Incredibles. Also the Voyage of The Little Mermaid is a musy see. We also love Beauty and the Beast, Playhouse Disney, Muppet 3D and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground is not to be missed. My DD loves HSM so we have to see that next trip and the Stars and Motor Cars parade.

We *just* got back - and I think MGM was actually more of hit than MK with my DS5. He rode Star Wars three times, met 3 of the Little Einsteins, JoJo, Power Rangers, and got to see Lightning McQueen and Tater from Cars. The breakfast at Hollywood and Vine was our entire family's favorite experience! MGM all the way!

ETA: I forgot about the Toy Story characters and Pizza Planet! Even though it's just an arcade, my son thought it was the coolest thing ever to be in the "real" Pizza Planet.

M :)

We always start our vacation at MGM. My DD (soon to be 5) loves MGM! We always have to see Playhouse Disney live, Little Mermaid, LMA, Muppetvision 3d and of course all the cool characters!

We looooooved Playhouse Disney! We will be going back for that again this trip, even though it is one of the few things we do at MGM!

My twin DD4's loved all of the mentioned. However, one of them who scared easy at Fantasmic and Pooh (scared of the dark/noise) we did not take into Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Instead she and I (to kill time) went into the Magic of Disney Animation which (to my surprise) she was totally enthralled with (she loves to draw). The presentation she was very excited about and the hands on exhibits at the end she had a great time with. In fact she insisted we show her sister and Mommy them when we met them when the finished Voyage (since you can get to them tthrough the gift sho). It may be boring to adults, but it was really nice and the joy it gave my little girl (I would have never guessed) was quite special.

I don't think you said if you have boys or girls, but MGM is the only place to meet the power rangers, which for my boys is a must do every time. You will see a lot of characters at MGM that you can't see any where else. The parade at MGM is one of my favorites as well.

If you ask my two 4 year olds, yes. We saw the show 3 times last trip. :)
