I hope you read the rest of this thread and saw me backtrack on this comment.
I TOTALLY understand the mom or bride to be not making it to their showers due to illness/bedrest/transportation issues/natural disasters/etc...
but for the host to KNOW the GOH is not going to be there and not tell anyone? totally different situation.
