Would you give up a perfectly good reservation for something you stumbled upon on the RAT?

I am so annoyed. At myself. For stalking the RAT.

We planned a (sorta) last minute trip the last week of September into the first week of October. After over a month of stalking, I was able to piece together 5nights at OKW 1BR consecutive days. I was SO happy! I waitlisted BWV standard 1BR for those nights immediately after I got the 5 at OKW bc that would be my ideal stay. Well I log into the RAT today and find THREE consecutive nights BWV 1BR standard view...but only on nights 2,3,4. I quickly booked them (i have extra points for this year) because I havent seen this happen. I have to decide what to do here because my banking deadline is tomorrow so I have to make a decision.

I was super happy with OKW, but I want BWV 10xvmore. Do I cancel OKW nights 2, 3, 4, Keeping nights 1 and 5 and waitlist these nights for BWV standard 1BR? I know an Epcot resort is hard at this time, especially a standard view. These nights im looking for are a Thursday and Monday. What would you do? Keep a perfectly good 5 night stay or take the chance of not getting the other 2 nights?

I wouldn't do it planning on getting the other 2 night, but if you are happy moving resorts 2 times in five nights, and want BWV that badly, then why not? You could book the DDP for one of those two one day stays as well. I know my wife would not be up for that sort of moving, though, so to each their own.

I would take the chance. Hopefully even one of the nights comes through and you only have to move once.
I agree with Bobbiwoz. You got the "harder" nights on the weekend, so hopefully the Thursday and Monday will come through. I may be biased; I love BWV too.

I think I'd grab it with a plan to move. Switching resorts isn't hard, and its really easy when you will stay one night and switch - then switch again for a single night at the end of your trip. Pack for one night each direction in a carryon (if you fly and check luggage) or in a small bag inside your big bag. Grab that and you won't need to unpack or even dig through your suitcase. Pack again the same way at the end of your BWV stay.

I would keep OKW. The size of the one bedroom is amazing.

Love the huge porch with table and 4 chairs, no endless hallways.
We stayed at BWV twice. First time was 3 doors from the end of the hallway. Second time was the very last room at the end. No plans to stay there ever again.

We really like Olivia's.

I cant thank everyone enough for the responses. I am SO torn. I love BWV for its LOCATION and pool area (yes i love the clown pool lol). I love OKW for the room size. I am not in HH area so I am nervous to not be near HH and its main pool and bar. I think I would feel better if I was near HH and it wouldnt be that big a deal.

What I tend to forget abotu BWV is how long the walk is to the pool ( could even be longer than a non HH to OKW). IT is also a long walk to the boats and to epcot- transportation/walking COULD take longer being at BWV than possibly a bus from OKW.

UGH! I dont want to move 2x but I dont mind moving once. I dont know what the heck to do and only a few hours left to make my decision. I want to thank everyone for their input!

It seems we have not helped! Either way, I hope you enjoy your WDW stay. Is it during the Moonlight Magic night at DHS?

I would look at satallite images for BWV and OKW - there is no way you have a shorter walk from a far non-HH location to HH than from the back end of BWV to the pool. Its about 650 feet from the back end of BWV to the pool - its about 3500 ft from the back end of OKW to the pool.

NO you all really you did! Its really helping to hear others opinions lol!! I am just going back and forth and reading these helps talk me through it lol! And yes It is on a week of moonlight magic but not the actual night (night is on a wednesday and Im looking for a thursday)!

you are so right, yet i was hoping for a semi close building, not the ones that are on the other side of the property haha! Its always a request but never guaranteed. I was just saying that BWV being in one hotel doesn't necessarily mean a 2 second walk to the pool. But yes, you are so right!!!

You can hope for a close standard view room at the BW. The best case at the BW is better than the best case at OKW. The worst case at the BW is better than the worst case at OKW. And there will be no way to know what the other option was - the best case at OKW will be slightly better than the worst case at BWV - but you'd never know - even with the first night stay, you may be put in that room because of the single night and wouldn't have gotten the same room for a longer stay.

I would stay at okw. I love the nice turtle pond pool, personally. The main pool doesn’t do that much for me.

Since you’re a member you can hop to the clown pool if your trip is inside a pool-hopping time. It’s one of the pools available for that.

I do love BW, but 5 nights at a OKW 1 bedroom will be terrific.

If you already secured the BWV and you don't mind a split I would keep the BWV days that you have. It will be food and wine and certainly a great opportunity to pop into Epcot to grab a little something. You love both resorts for different reasons why not keep both?

I guess your real deciding factor is --do you want to move your luggage 3 times? - yes a little bother to have your luggage moved but that really is the only thing getting in the way of you staying at both. If moving is a pain in the you know what for you and/or your traveling party then just stay at OKW.

i'm not following along at all lol, are you keeping the OKW dates along with the 2,3,4 BWV dates?

Not just luggage, but also the refrigerator items.
