Would you favor a DVC expansion at your home resort?

Own at VWL, BWV, and BLT.

if they made the new VWL its own place - then okay with it. Otherwise selling VWL soon. the point cost not to mention the maintenance for the new VWL would be a lot more - and don't really think they should force VWL members to pay the maintenance fees for the new stuff.

BLT has the same problem that the Polyn has - asbestos - which is probably why the Polyn is all studios not the 1 or 2 bedroom. Now with BLT - WDW paid for I think not DVC. but additions would be all on DVC.

also love my standard view that looks at the MK - they are hard enough to get in the first place - add a bunch more standard view (which the south wing would mostly be) - and getting the MK view with standard would probably not be possible - except for a lucky few. Now if they made the new BLT its own separate resort - then hey go build it. so it more md being selfish. really do love BLT.

think BWV/I was build much later and does not have the asbestos issue - so they could put some of the BWI rooms in the BWV - but BWI is small now. So for the convention they really need BWI to still be a resort. so really don't think that will happen - but who knows? heard from many business people that BWI was full and they were put in the dolphin and swan (not WDW resorts) and that is not good for WDW business. when attending a convention at BW.

I think they absolutely should expand PVB. I think its ridiculous that the only 2 choices are studios or a bungalow and that its the only property like that. It seems very half-assed just to get a DVC at the resort. I am a PVB owner.

Yet you bought knowing that situation. I hope they do add on with larger units, it would explain the current setup better. But if they do it'll likely be 1 & 2 BR with no lockoff's so some will complain there are no studios in the new purpose built section.

I think they will shy away from building dedicated 2 bedrooms - too much flexibility with the lock offs. I hope they do build larger units also.

They've got plenty of studios, more bang for the buck if they don't add studios to an addition. They could come up with some other options though like a sleep 6 1 BR, 2 BR lockoff that was a smaller and larger 1 BR and 3 BR options.

Yes I bought knowing the current situation. A studio is all I will need but other members with larger families need more. I didnt say it was a deal breaker for me, I just said I think its ridiculous, and I do.

I'm on record as feeling they likely should have gone a different route. I would not have bought there given he situation even if I were otherwise inclined to do so. Maybe an expansion is in order, maybe not. IMO I feel they should have made them studios on steroids or mini 1 BR villas. It would have been more points either way, likely 30-50% more per night than it is now for a studio. Given the points requirement, a full 1 BR on points is hard to imagine given the fact they are double the studios with DVC.
