Would you ever want Vanessa (human Ursula) to be an interactive character in WDW?

Disney will probably expand on her role in the live action movie. I was thinking she could be at the Little Mermaid/Rapunzel character breakfast on the boardwalk. It’s an easy loophole for Disney to use that’s still inline with the canon story. It is a character who most people don't know the name of, as it is not mentioned in the movie.
The character is on screen for less than 5 minutes and has about 5 sentences to say.
I do not think she can be interesting to meet as that part of her character wasn't fleshed out. And in appearance... next to Ursula she is so plain.
I like the special nights idea. I think her recognition will increase when the new movie comes out.Ah, ok.
In that case, in answer to the question in the OP above, there's no point in Disney having Vanessa as a live character to meet & greet @ Disney parks because she's kind of obscure and not enough people would even recognize who she's supposed to be. At most, they could bring out a character like that on special event (i.e., hard ticket events) nights.
I think the cartoon is still relevant to kids today. A lot of kids are aware of Melody even though she is rarely in WDW. A lot will depend if the remake is on Disney Plus or in the theaters. Depending on how the movie does, it may influence on how Disney will expand the Little Mermaid characters we will see in WDW in the future.I wouldn't throw tomatoes or anything, but I wouldn't stop either, the film is so old it's doubtful it would register with little kids. Now if you asked me if they should bring back Ariel's spot and include everyone else in a snowglobe of characters with her, ummmm yes please. I'd love that for all the big movies, come to think of it.

She looks completely different than Ariel in my opinion. Plus she wears that golden shell that kids recognize as Ursula’s. If she signs autographs, who does she sign as? Vanessa or Ursula? I always think some of characters signatures are very unique and Disney could get very creative with hers.Wasn’t her name mentioned at the beginning of the wedding, like “Do you Eric take Vanessa to be . . .”? I agree she wasn’t mentioned much, but I knew from the first watching that she was Vanessa.
I would be concerned that little kids would just think she’s an angry Ariel, unless Disney did something really obvious to make them different. I do think she would be a good addition to villain themed events at the parks.
