i'm NOT bashing on those with SoCal AP's, i just need to find the best time to go within our open time frame. we're taking my ailing MIL for what will likely be her last trip to Disneyland, and would like to make it as enjoyable as we can.
what would YOU do? we'll only be in the parks on weekdays, and if we go in May, we'll stay out of the parks on Memorial Day Monday as well.
otherwise, we'd go sometime in early july thru mid august when SoCal AP's are blocked.
we'll use FP's and probably RideMax (or the tips found here on Disboards instead), and will arrive at the gates at least a half hour before opening, etc. but i'd really, REALLY like to avoid times when we might get packed in like sardines trying to get down main street.
